   We had our xmas night out here, and were highly disappointed. After misleading marketing showing the venue (sky bar), we assumed we would be on the top floor with views of the castle. On the night we were ushered into a basement room with no windows and a pop up bar in the foyer. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, book somewhere else. I did email the venue and despite waiting a week, ive had no response, also disappointing.

   Great atmosphere drinks not so reasonable but it is on par for the tourist gouged area of Edinburgh at £9 for a glass of prosecco... view is decent during the day but not so much at night. Staff very friendly though.

   We had our wedding here in August. Kimberley, Euan and the rest of the team were absolutely incredible. So friendly, kind and professional from start to finish. Any ideas we had it was no bother and they went above and beyond for us. Any questions we had Kimberley would always answer and nothing was too much hassle. We always left any meetings or emails at ease and excited. We decided to go for the BBQ Buffet for our meal and it did not disappoint, it was so good and guests still compliment it to this day! We used some of the SKYbar a decor and some of our own decor and the team made the room look unreal each phase of the day. The day itself ran so smoothly and the best day of our lives, we can’t thank you all enough for helping create the most magic day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ photos by @photoswithpaige

   Paid for the window seat with prosecco and was quite disappointed. The main windows where the views are were all steamed up rendering the view pointless. About 10 minutes after sitting down the waiter asked if we wanted more drinks. We had only just opened the bottle! The actual view would be good but would recommend somewhere different.

   We had our wedding party here this weekend (after 2 years of waiting due to covid) it was brilliant fun. The BBQ food was so tasty, everyone said how good the food was. I wish I had had more of it myself. Lamb Koftas went down very well. Kimberley ensured the party went very smoothly she was also very good at responding to me with all the questions I had before our party, and also let me have bottles of drink delivered to her (straight from majestic) before hand, to save me from dropping them off. The view was just stunning, our guests loved the venue. The staff were brilliant behind the bar and polite. Our cake was cut and left for people to enjoy. Thank you to everyone at The Skybar for making our party an eventful evening. Even though we had very small numbers the venue never felt to big. We are both so happy we picked The SkyBar to celebrate our wedding with loved ones.
