Good parking at the Mango. The fusion food offering of Indian and Italian is great. Can't fault the food here. Service is top notch with staff keen to answer and questions you may have and all dishes come out together, as they should do. Nothing to much bother
**Bad experience** We arrived at the hotel 20 minutes before 2 PM. We were given a room with a window facing very loud ventilation units, which made a lot of noise even with the window closed. We went to the reception to ask for a different room, but we were told that it was not possible because all rooms were fully booked. However, just before speaking with the receptionist, we had talked to the housekeeping staff who told us that the room across the hall, with a view of the parking lot, was available. In fact, several rooms were open and ready for guests. We were the first to check in that day, but the reception simply refused to change our room.
The most unpleasant hotel experience. I was booked for one night as I was in town for a family event near by. I returned to the hotel at 10:30pm with the doors locked and a note on the door with a mobile number to call. This number was not receiving phone calls. I called the number on Google and left a message (no reply), called the number in my confirmation email and it was disconnected. I emailed the email address on their website and the email address doesn’t exist. I messaged them through their contact form and no reply. If it wasn’t for the kindness of a stranger, I would have been out in the street the whole night. I returned the next morning around 8am to retrieve my bags and leave. At this point I’ve paid for a room I didn’t even stay in.
Room well equipped and clean. Indian food was amazing, staff especially TJ very attentive and friendly. Handy location between Edinburgh Glasgow.
The hotel is secondary to the restaurant for sure and generally good yet finer detaiks need looking at! Bedroom door lock and handle damaged ,no fire evacuation details on view, and even no door number to view, a picture missing in the room. The lift was constantly used by staff for laundry and being disabled rather annoying and inconvenient the stairway needs shampooing overall needs attention. Not even a big in room or bathroom ? To top it all room not serviced .wet towels etc and nowhere to hang them!!

Never stayed there but the meals and staff are very friendly and helpful.
I work all around the UK & Scotland and stay in many hotels on my travels. Mango the Hotel is a hidden gem.! Nice and tidy clean rooms along with a fabulous restaurant serving very tasty Indian & Italian cuisine. The food is simply stunning and I would highly recommend a stay or a visit to the Mango. Hard working staff looking after a busy hotel and restaurant that is well run and very clean. I shall be staying here again without any doubt. 10/10
Everything was fine, the room was very quiet and comfortable, if I was going to be critical I would say the room could have been cleaner, a good vacuum and the shower wasn't very clean, also when I turned over the duvet there looked like blood stains on it, that's my only criticism, the car park was good, I didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment
Stayed there while working in the local area.at check in there was a problem with payment but my firm had already payed in the end I had to pay again to get to my room and they tied to charge me a extra night I didn't want but my receipt only had 3 nights when I had payed for 4.not happy buy this point room was nice had smart TV but had no internet but it was advertised.bed was comfy that's about it.outside the window was a extraction vent from the kitchen but it was broken and was directing the heat and Indian cuisine smells from the owners restaurant at my window so couldn't have my window open and it was the last hot spell. Never again don't recommend this place at 80 pound at night
