Staff were nice but these hotels are a grubby pile of garbage. The outside looks like a haunted house. A "good night guaranteed"?? The walls are thin and its not quiet. Also the best thing about hotels eg, the breakfast, the chef was off ill and they had no replacement. Ill never go again, to any premier inn

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is decent. The room was very dirty and incredibly smelly. There was bad smell coming from the drains, and even with the window open and the bathroom door closed, it could still be smelled. Bed was also lumpy and not very comfortable. Convenient location and good staff but would not recommend.

Stayed one night at the start of our trip. Were very accommodating to our requests, reasonable prices, comfortable beds and clean rooms. We didn't use the restaurant so we can't comment on it.

Room needed a spruce up but had some mood lighting which was nice. Had air con controls but no unit or vents anywhere, i don't think it had air con. There was a fan instead. Sausages were really nice but rest of breakfast was average, i suppose the standard what you would expect from premier inn

3 stars for location, lovely customer service and the room size. Unfortunately the loss of 2 stars is due to a high level of black mould in the bathroom and the window sill (which we discovered in the next morning) which created a strong stale smell in both the bathroom and the room. We opened windows in hope ventilation would help but the strong smell disturbed my sleep twice during the night - so it certainly wasn't a good night's sleep. We asked to move rooms the next morning and same issue - black mould again in the bathroom and window sill, although less stench compared to the first room. They treated the window sill in the day as we were out. Staff were really friendly and helpful to oblige. It's not great that rooms aren't being audited to look out for this as this is a health risk to guests. Looking at someone else's review- it seems that they've also complained of a smell - therefore I'm unsure if this is a wider issue or just contained to the first floor or all rooms. The hallway on the first floor smelt so immensely stale too. If you're staying here, be sure to look out for black mould on window sills and bathroom. Hopefully this Premier Inn improves as I very much liked the location. This has been fed back to Premier Inn too - let's see what the outcome is.

Stayed here a fair few times over the last decade. On this occasion a heater kept making a ticking noise most of the night which kept me from sleeping. In the end I just switched it off at the wall. Despite being frosty outside it remained warm enough. Everything else was good and as expected.

Had two rooms over the duration of my stay, and both were of a good standard - very comfy beds/pillows, and very good showers. Reception staff helpful and friendly too

Very poor service. My elderly parents booked with this hotel for a night for a family party with all the extended family coming also. Unfortunately this is the day it snowed. This party was booked for months and due to the weather my parents are unable to travel to go. It’s a 3 hour car journey which is difficult for them at the best of times so impossible with the snow and ice conditions of the roads. When they phoned premier inn so ask if they could change the date to next year, so they can visit family they haven’t seen for 3 years due to covid, it was a flat no. This is highly unfair and disappointing of premier inn to do this. No one can predict the weather but they easily could have let them change the date. Definitely would not recommend this hotel because they’re horrific service to users.

Excellent hotel. Left my earbud there which were like 200 pounds. I rang to see if they had them and the lass on the phone was class. They are now posting them to my house as I like in Newcastle. Excellent touch and will definitely be stopping there again when working close by. Thanks very much
