From the moment I arrived I could not stop smiling! The Owners were kind, attentive and generous (got a wee upgrade). The room and entire hostel itself is clean, modern and all the comforts of home. Centrally located to many outdoor hikes and historic sites. And the VIEWs are Spectacular! The Cafe had so many delicious options. The Chai Latte HIGHLY recommend. I tried 2 different toasties with salad and soup . Fresh, Fresh, Fresh ! Superb on the taste buds. If you have kids you will love this place. Disneyland for Wee Tots! Love it!!!! GPS tried to take me to a different entrance. I would suggest make sure Eden Mill Farm is your addy location. OVERALL 10 Stars forget the 5 Stars ! I will be back . Thank you, Thank you for the Scottish Hospitality !

I had a beautiful and relaxing stay at the attic after hiking. I stayed for two nights and patrick was an amazing host and made my stay even better. The rooms were super clean, the common area and kitchen are spacious and comfortable. When staying at the bunkhouse you get a discount for the cafe downstairs so i had breakfast and dinner with them and it was both delicious and the staff was incredibly nice. (Friday is pizza night!!) Its located away from everything and perfect to relax and calm down. Thank you!

The place is ready difficult to find, the navigation in our car couldnβt find it. The Google map couldnβt find, we ask people on the way, they tried with their phone but they couldnβt find it neither. The man helped us to call the place and they told him how we could get there. In the end we found it. The woman who welcome us was super nice, friendly lady. She show us the room and around. The room is small and clean, just enough for us to stay for a night. There was only on chair in the room, would be nice to have some shelves to put some stuffs on. We just leave our stuffs on the windows bank. The kitchen is clean and large enough if you want to cook something but we didnβt have any food to cook so we just have some toast and go so sleep. The cafe downstairs close in the evening. Next day we have some breakfast in the cafe, we tried some full Scottish breakfast and coffee, the food was good, specially the sourdough bread and egg. The service is super, staffs are so kind (again I already said kind I think) I would love to come back here when weβre in Scotland again.

Stuff was friendl and helpful. Common room is brilliant, kitchen is fully stuffed, countryside all around is very lovely. The ensuite facilities are spotless clean and brand new. The bunk rooms are very comfy and modern, but they lack a window. So it can get very hot in there, especially if all bunks are full. I felt claustrophobic and wouldn't have booked if I had known. WiFi is not the best.

Booked on 4 nights on Expedia and received booking confirmation. Drove 4 hours to get here. On arrival the attic wanted quadruple the price for the booking. Left me stranded with 3 children at 5pm on a Sunday night with no accommodation. Poor customer experience. Avoid.

Customer service doesn't exist. Booked a room that I had to subsequently cancel. Got charged and have been trying to get a refund for the past 2.5 months. Maybe staying in here is nice but surely getting a refund is not at the top of their priorities.

It's not very disabled friendly, though I believe more work to be done, the location is very picturesque. Pat the manager is great to get on with. Food in cafe is gorgeous, though separate firm from the attic, I will definitely be back again xx

This is a tin shed with no insulation. On a hot day, it becomes an oven. Trying to sleep in it at night is impossible. Our family had to resort to soaking towels in water and draping ourselves to cool down. We promised our children a nice holiday but quickly found ourselves trying to combat the onset of heatstroke in the perverse central oven of the attic. It is difficult to imagine, for what reason a room would be built, in the upper section of a tin shed without provision of air conditioning..... Or a fan..... Or even a window. Sounds more like the design process for a solar cooker than a holiday accommodation. Perhaps cooking a chicken on your bedside table overnight should be added to the listing as a highlight. Looking at previous reviews, this is an ongoing issue. The management pop up periodically with 'blah blah blah, we're looking into ways to reduce the heat', but so far have done nothing. The inevitable conclusion being that their income carries an exponential importance in relation to the comfort of their guests. When you don't want to take another night of brutal dehydration and orange morning urine, they will refuse to refund you. They'll tell you it's not their fault, someone was messing with the thermostat. (Despite the woman on arrival warning you that it 'gets very hot in here, its just a tin shed.) To add insult to injury, they charge Β£5 on your booking for a pet you don't have, promise to refund it and never do. Save your money and the early onset of kidney stones. Stay somewhere with a window.

Very basic, as one would expect with a bunkhouse, but the beds are comfortable enough and the rooms are clean and modern. We were only in Scotland for one night and needed a cheap place with a bed to get some sleep. The Attic provided exactly that. It is a little difficult to find, there is plenty of signage it's just a lot further down the small access road than you may expect. The remote location does have the advantage of being very quiet overnight. The rooms themselves seem rather sparse, furniture consisting of the beds and a single small chair. We felt we could do with a small table, or even a shelf, a place to put down keys and phones. Given that this place hasn't been open long at the time of my visit I suspect the owners may have plans to make some small improvements in due course. There is a large communal kitchen/dining area and as part of the farmshop downstairs there is a play area for younger visitors. + Very clean + Modern Decor + Quiet Location + Reasonable Prices - Very basic. Overall I'd say it does exactly what you need and expect from a 'bunkhouse', but there is some room for minor improvements.
