I rented a flat from Property4u up to recently for almost 9 months and renting from Zubair and his team was very straightforward and very professional. I can honestly say that we had no issues at all, Zubair and his team couldn't have been more helpful. He was very honest when we did the viewing and I have no hesitation in recommending this company to others.
My lease with with Property 4 U lasted six years. My experience has been great from the beggining to the end of the contract. The flat I rented was in excellent conditions. Communication with the team has always been easy and quick. Issues were always faced with a honest, friendly and professional attitude, providing prompt maintenance when needed. I highly recommend this agency if you are looking for a place to rent in Glasgow :)
Zubair and team were such a huge help as an agency! Great friendly service when letting, they made the letting process accessible and straightforward. The team were lovely. I don’t know about the other reviews about the condition of the flats but from my experience I was pleasantly surprised my let was a lovely wee flat - if there was anything needing fixed there was always prompt maintenance when I contacted. On top of that the flat was really affordable! I would highly recommend.
This is an amazing letting agent. I have now had my properties, with property 4 U,on Cathcart Road, Glasgow, for 20 years,and these guys have given me absolutely zero stress, with regards flats lying empty and unnecessary charges, that all the other letting agents try and fool the landlords with. I highly recommend Zubair and his team, for their honest and humanitarian approach, to this cut throat, crooked industry.
In almost a decade of private renting, I can easily say, Property 4u are the worst, most unprofessional agency I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The flat that they rented out to me was actively in the process of being repossessed (which I was never told before signing a lease) and in a horrifying condition. It took me, my partner and 5 friends just under 9 hours of cleaning to get it into a 'livable' state. That doesn't include the 4 hours me and Alex spent one night scraping an inch and a half of grease off the top of our kitchen cabinets with a putty knife and a wallpaper scraper respectively. It was the very next day that the letter stating that the house was behind on the mortgage and being repossessed. Talk about a waste of time. When I confronted them, they became aggressive and uncooperative. Approx. 2 weeks after we had moved all our stuff in and started living in the flat I saw a rat in the bedroom. We called the council and two pest control officers told me that by the state of the kitchen cupboards that the rats had been in the flat a long time. We also found cockroaches in the living room and bedrooms. When I got a lawyer involved after 6 weeks to end my contract after 2 months of what I can only describe as a mentally challenging dark period in my life, my lawyer found out that our deposit wasn't in a scheme, which is illegal. They refused to return our deposit even though the flat was in a MUCH, MUCH cleaner standard than when we moved in. Eventually after 3 months through our lawyer we got it back. Do not trust this agency. PLEASE. For your own sake. They WILL lie to you. THEY WONT follow the law. And they definitely won't respect you. ***EDIT TO REPLY*** Property 4u, this is almost EXACTLY what happened. Why don't you tell me what you disagree with? I even left some stuff out, like how when I told you I wouldn't be home you insisted you had to come round without me there (with less than 24 hours notice) to do an 'end of tenancy inspection' and so I called in to work and got the day off only for someone to turn up WITH TWO PROSPECTIVE NEW TENANTS TO SHOW AROUND. The man, clearly flustered that I was there, then started screaming and shouting at me and told me "we can do this the easy way or the hard way". Like you can't even make this stuff up. The DAY AFTER we moved in we had a repossession letter through the door telling us we had 30 days to vacate the property and seek legal advice, and let me tell you, you were BEYOND unprofessional in your office when dealing with this issue. You literally showed us details of the landlords mortgage (my mum still has all the details written down in a notepad) that should be protected under the Data Protection Act and talked down to us and made us feel like we were stupid for even acknowledging the letter. My deposit was most definitely NOT in a DPS and was not returned to us in a timely manner. The house was FILTHY. I wouldn't have posted the photos but since you are practically calling me a liar, please enjoy the photos of my flat after you sent someone from your cleaning team who left my front door wide open . When he finally came back, he waltzed into my house, not realising I had entered through the wide open door that he had left unattended for upwards of 10 minutes, went to the bathroom, left the door open while he had a pish and didn't wash his hands. I don't know who was more shook when I confronted him. If you are considering renting with Property4u then please, at the very least, don't take my word for it, you can call my lawyer Lorna Walker who works from Govan Law Centre. She told me at the time that she had a number of ongoing cases with Property 4u and that were in the process of being dealt with.
