“I took up a tenancy through Thistle Property in July 2020 after a long search for a flat. I was immediately impressed by company Director, David Dyer, who was very efficient and helpful towards helping me secure my lease. The process Thistle Property employ with regards to vetting tenants was secure and professional, while also being quick and simple. Dave was on hand and readily available throughout the process to advise. He also took the time to FaceTime my partner and I for a quick chat to get to know us, which was a nice touch. Once I was ready to sign the letting agreement, Dave was once again instrumental in making me feel supported as a tenant, talking me through the contract and explaining each section by way of a video call. The property itself was presented exactly as advertised and in excellent condition. Dave provided a full run down of appliances, municipal responsibilities and provided manuals etc within a handy tenant’s guidebook. With regards to maintenance and communication during our stay, I was always very impressed by how Thistle Property handled any issue, big and small. Maintenance issues could be logged via a handy app and an electronic paper trail and alerts meant I knew exactly when Thistle had picked up an issue and what the status of their response was. A boiler issue was fixed in a matter of hours, with Dave updating me himself on his plan for sorting it out. Rent receipts were also available through the app, which made keeping records easy and efficient. We always felt supported and secure as tenants. Once it was time for us to move on, Thistle Property once again impressed me by going above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible. Communications were prompt and to a high standard at all times, and the professionalism of the process was clear throughout. Dave also made sure to check in with us about any issues we may have had and kept us up to speed about other properties Thistle had on offer, which was useful for us. Once we had moved out, Dave immediately began the process for returning our deposit, which was released in a timely fashion. I couldn’t recommend Thistle Property enough. Thistle Property are always professional, supportive, efficient and friendly to deal with. As a tenant, you are treated like an equal, which makes you feel at right at home in one of their properties.”
