The Hub has really went downhill since lockdown. Restaurants that were once bustling are now abandoned and forgotten about. The only positives in my opinion are the ice rink, the cinema, the library and the soft play. It's really lost its personality and it's quite sad to see as everyone used to love going there.

First time visiting here In a few years and have to say it has improved. Great choice of shops and places to eat

For some shopping it's fine. Cleaning always carried out throughout the day. Parking is available, on Sunday it's free for a couple of hours. Some shops have closed down.

*Shopping Centre Review: A Ghost Town of Lost Purpose* I found myself at this shopping centre, which felt more like a ghost town than a bustling retail haven. Empty stores, silent hallways, and the occasional distant sound of a fluorescent light flickering—this place was eerily deserted. I hopped onto the escalator, not with purpose, but with the kind of aimless determination that only a soul lost in time could have. Up and down, up and down, as if riding the escalator could somehow make sense of it all. The escalator hummed beneath me, like a metaphor for my existence, carrying me nowhere while I pondered the vast emptiness around me. No one was there to disturb me, no crowds, no noise—just the occasional echo of my own footsteps on the cold tile. And then I spotted him—the lone Zamboni driver, gliding across the empty ice rink like he was preparing for the greatest performance of his life. He was the only other soul in this eerie hellhole, and we locked eyes for a brief moment. I could feel his unspoken camaraderie in that vast emptiness, as if we were both trapped in some strange, frozen purgatory. He was skimming the ice, completely alone, with no audience to witness his art—just him, the hum of the Zamboni, and the echoing silence of the rink. I couldn’t help but feel a bond with this man of solitude, both of us caught in an existential loop, trying to fill the void with something—anything. Would I come back? Only if I’m looking for a place to reflect on the absurdity of life, have a deep conversation with a Zamboni driver, and maybe ride the escalator a few more times for good measure. A truly haunting experience, but in a strangely peaceful way.

Depressing place now that most shops and restaurants have shut down. Food at Tony macaroni was awful too

A lot of money was spent on the hub but many of the restaurants in the food court have closed leaving limited choice. The town centre is not open on the evening so the place seems like a ghost town. Little or no atmosphere

Think it's taken a big hit from Covid, it as many shops but ok if you need something quick, Has usual shops but 20 mins to Glasgow for larger stores, great transport link into Glasgow

Nice experience with local odeon cinema and plenty of meal places. Some handy parking and with the ice rink, climbing also attached this makes a good day out if not the cheapest but can be everything under 1 roof visit. Would visit again to explore further but everything seems very well set out although the McDonalds did leave which is a shame.

It's a big centre and I still get confused walking about in here. Some great art work around the centre.
