Leroy and Ed listened to our vision for an open plan kitchen and dining room and delivered the dream. The design, installation and products have been excellent.
We're really pleased with our kitchen from Schmidt. From our first visit the service was great with plenty of attention paid to the smaller details by Leroy and Ed. The kitchen was delivered on time and the installation by Colin was excellent. The quality of the kitchen and appliances is excellent and we are very pleased with the finished kitchen. It has transformed our house. We would thoroughly recommend visiting Schmidt Bath and using them if you are looking to replace or upgrade your kitchen.
We used Schmidt Bath for a new kitchen installation. From the initial meeting Leroy and his team were extremely attentive and supportive throughout. The design team were excellent and worked out a number of options in terms of both layout and colours. The installation by Colin was extremely professional and the quality of workmanship was superb. Our experience with Schmidt Bath was fantastic. Led by Leroy, his team are absolutely top notch, talented and committed. Irrespective of role - from early design to install to aftercare - exacting attention to detail abounds. "Good enough" is not what they do, Leroy's team do "Exceptional". Our build (of which the kitchen was part), like many, was beset by delay (Covid, Christmas, etc) but Leroy's team were always on hand to find a way through any planning challenges. What we loved most was their patience and their in-depth knowledge. We didn't know the art of the possible, they did and they took what could have been a good kitchen using our ideas and made it a GREAT kitchen using theirs! It's a fair adage that you get what you paid for but in this case we got so much more than that. 10/10!
Great service from the planning stage through to completed installation. Leroy and his staff were very professional with their attention to detail and explanation of the process. We were extremly grateful for the Schmidt team's sourcing of building contracters to provide an excellent new building to place the kitchen. The kitchen fitting was excellent and you can see where the money is spent. The only snag was the electrical goods having to be changed or replaced from the original specification but once highlighted this was fixed quickly and without quibble. We would highly recommend them for a new kitchen.
Having already had a Schmidt kitchen that we loved we were delighted to come across Leroy and the great team at Bath's Schmidt showroom. They completely understood what we wanted to achieve and the result is fabulous. We particularly love the large peninsular unit with its sweep of marbled quartz and the simple run of tall units behind that house the working parts of the kitchen. The extra deep drawers give amazing storage.We all love the kitchen's subtle 'clay' colour and the whole room is now so spacious, light and airy. Thanks so much to the team at Schmidt Bath.
Schmidt, Chelsea Road, Bath. A really lovely well designed quality kitchen from Schmidt. And an excellent and helpful fitting job from Colin and Jordan their fitters who were always doing what was best, not easiest. The installation team is important. Leroy and the Schmidt team were always focused on giving us a ‘best result’. Our new kitchen project is now complete, and we are very, very happy with the results. The quality of the product, and the care and quality of the fitting workmanship, is excellent. It is actually using the kitchen that gives us more satisfaction and pleasure than we anticipated. (And it looks great.) Our actual kitchen layout options were fairly restricted, but with the proposed functional changes to the cabinetry and an awkward under-stairs pantry area transformation, everything works so much more effectively. After looking at various kitchen suppliers in and around Bath / Bristol we found that Schmidt quality both felt and looked 'right’. Our kitchen was chosen and designed for day to day functionality, but it has ended up looking better than we hoped. The very comprehensive sales demonstration by Leroy in the show room showed the full range of possibilities, included all the ‘high-end’ options that didn’t necessarily apply to our goals… but this did create an understanding of what was possible. And we did choose some options that we hadn’t been considering. Seeing all the possible options and products brought the final design recommendations into focus. Working with Leroy we were also able to incorporate some of our own requests into the final design. We also had an adjoining utility kitchen area re-fitted to match the kitchen which turned out beautifully. We did suffer from various delays exacerbated by Brexit, the P & O ferry strike, the Ukraine war and the fact that French/European factories shutdown for the month of August. We DID have a fully working 90 % completed lovely kitchen within two weeks. But due to the European shutdown we waited an additional 10 weeks for the final bits of back-splash, window sills, and a bit of cabinetry to be delivered and installed. So there can be disadvantages to having a ‘single-source' kitchen supplier… But ultimately what a great result we ended up with. And we would definitely do it all again.
I am currently having my second Schmidt Bath makeover, having had a Study and Dining Room refurbishment last year. This year I am refurbishing my Master Bedroom and Bathroom, this being c. 2 weeks from completion. From inception to completion, the team are thorough and diligent, always giving options during both the design and construction phases. As an architect, I had design concepts that Peter took away and moulded into coherent solutions working within the vast range of options available to him via Schmidt. Delays do happen, as I know on all projects, as sometimes it is difficult to have sub-trades seamlessly follow each other, but at all times you are kept informed of progress and all the tradesman are well briefed, efficient and thoughtful; all striving to achieve the best possible finish, being always aware that they are a part of a bigger picture, which ensures a better finished product.
