They have good reviews here but they let themselves down a bit as far as I'm concerned. I popped in to get new eye drops as I realised that the hardly used tube I had for a while had now expired. I brought this with me to ask them to dispose of as well as a tub of expired creatine which had actually been expired for a few years so I thought best not to risk it. I've handed expired meds back to pharmacies before with no issues. However, here, the pharmacist seemed to have doubts about taking this off me even though it's commonly known that the best way to dispose of expired medication is to deposit it at a pharmacy rather than landfill for obvious reasons or worse still, let it enter the watercourse. I even tried to explain this but she actually just muttered something as she walked away which I couldn't make out due to her mask and in the end reluctantly took the expired pills off me. By this point there was another customer waiting behind me so I was made to look a fool. If there was an issue then she should have explained what it was to me so that I would understand but I wasn't given one. I know that I had done the right thing because the wrong thing would have been to either bin them or flush them down the toilet. If this is the way they treat responsible people then I won't be back, because who really needs this sort of hassle? EDIT: SEPTEMBER 2025 I am adding to my review because despite avoiding this pharmacy through choice, I found myself back here again purely through circumstance after having to contact NHS 111. A doctor from South Lanarkshire NHS had ordered a prescription of penicillin for me and had emailed it to this pharmacy and told me it would be available to pick up that morning so I went in after work that afternoon and explained the situation to them. After literally about 20 minutes of standing there watching several other people who came in after me being served while I still waited, and lots of back and forth nonsense due to the young chap at the front desk passing information back to the pharmacists, these clowns finally found the email (of course with no apology for all the hassle which had ensued); fobbing me off with the explanation that the communication from the doctor had gone to their clinical email. I overheard the pharmacist saying that I should be told to go back to my doctor, but as I had already explained to the front desk at the beginning that the prescription had been ordered as a result of my calling NHS111, this would not help as I had not attended my GP in the first place. I would have expected them to have routinely checked this email after listening to what I had told them but I felt that I was being treated as an inconvenience by this pharmacist who did not even think to say sorry for the time I had to wait while they tried to sort out what should have been a straightforward pick-up.

The staff here can be pleasant but I've had a couple of issues trying to pick up prescriptions. I've been text to say my prescription is ready only to come down and be told it's not (though this was only once). I also put in private prescriptions and every time I come to collect it, there is a different new issue. I explained the issue to my doctor about the private prescriptions and they called to sort things out but I was told by my doctor they received a lot of grief over the phone. Overall they're good most of the time and the text service to let you know when the prescription is ready is convenient but if you have a private prescription, you may have issues.

Lovely staff, kind and very helpful team in this chemist always. Love that it's just around the corner. Just went in today with My son who hurt his arm and scrapped it pretty bad. Staff couldn't of been nicer. Thank you.

I did find the cost for some over the counter medications a bit pricey, but they do offer good customer service.
