Visiting Edinburgh and found this gem right next to our hotel. Rancho Steak House served one of the best steaks we’ve ever had! Great portions, amazing flavour, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend if you’re staying near Princes Street
Great service, wed booked for a large group of 14 and everyone enjoyed their meals, mostly steaks but also lamb and fish. Great value. Already cut into the steak before taking a pic!
The staff were lovely: Kind, attentive, professional and wonderful. The food however was sub par for the price, and the steak was borderline inedible. We both got the rump steak with various sauces and while the sauces were tasty, the steak was too chewy to be eaten. I ordered a medium rare steak but it came rare, which I thought might be better, but I was unfortunately incorrect. The lighting was fluorescent and intense which might fit the southern vibe in the US at this moment but I can’t say I was impressed. Other than the staff who were very kind, this place would have only merited a single star from me.
The food here is incredible, generous portions and absolutely worth the price. The staff are so attentive and genuinely make sure everything is perfect. I have awkward requests because of my dairy allergy, but they were incredibly understanding and made sure every dish I ordered was completely dairy free. Such a great experience every time!

Wow, was this a good pick!! The fillet steak was absolutely delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had!! Was cooked medium to perfection, juicy, tasty, no fat or gristle, just spot on!! Sorry but that’s why the photo is showing my fillet had already been started it was that good! The inside is tiny, so would advise pre-booking. The outside is tiny, you could easily walk past and miss it unless you were looking, but believe me you would be missing out on the best steak if you walked past this place!
I loved my dinner here on Saturday night. I chose the rump which was cooked to perfection. This place is a great find. Definitely will be back. The chips were amazing also. Service was pleasant & everyone was polite. As you can see by the pictures presentation is on point.
Excellent steak. A good variety of steak available and really reasonably priced. It would be perfect if they served the Chimichurri sauce which should be a must in all Argentinean steakhouse.
This place gives Miller & Carter a bloody good run for their money. Rib Eye steak cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth. King Prawns amazing. Other people in the party had Filet, Sirloin all cooked perfectly. Would recommend you visit if your in Edinburgh
The staff very friendly and the food was excellent. I loved that food and the steak was the best I’ve ever eat. Im in loveeee!
