I really enjoyed my stay! Me and my dog received a warm welcome and treats for my dog. The location was great because it was walking distance to attractions but far enough away that it was quiet(ish). I felt very safe there as well. The room was a decent size for a major city and the price. The bathroom was nice and new, with a great shower that was easy to use. The extra large bath towels were a nice touch. I enjoyed the large built in TV and the view from my room. I also was impressed with the buttons that were used to signal if you wanted the room cleaned or not. I highly recommend this hotel! It’s the nicest ibis hotel I’ve stayed at.

I only stayed for one night with breakfast but it was a very good stay. Friendly, attentive staff. Delicious breakfast with a range of sweet and savory options. The room was big, and the bathroom was very beautiful. You only have to walk a few metres to reach the tram station (that takes you to and from the Edinburgh Airport).

Perfect location, great breakfast, friendly service! We picked the hotel based on location and reviews and I can totally recommend it - close to everything, great breakfast until 11 on weekends, really friendly service. Rooms on the smaller side, but quiet. Light next to bed can be dimmed, which is great. Nothing to complain, thanks for the stay. PS. Really pleasantly suprised by the service - people smiling, greeting you.. very nice.

Our view was a wall just a few feet from our window - because we booked very last minute. This hotel is very busy so book well ahead of time. The WiFi in our room was non existent as it was not high speed so we had to sit in the restaurant area (which was very comfortable and well decorated.) The service was excellent. They brought ice right to our room because i had an injured knee. The room , including bathroom, was very comfortable and clean. The food was exceptional, esp for accommodating plant based diets. The location was ideal and we were able to take a bus to airport easily. Would recommend but book well ahead. It was expensive too, but i suspect we got one of the last rooms available

Our second stay at the Ibis Styles St. Andrews Square was just as pleasant our first. The staff was friendly and super helpful, calling a taxi, cleaning up breakfast dishes, guiding our dining choices, etc. The rooms are small but very efficiently appointed. The shower worked well, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed, even fresh milk to go with the water kettle and tea/coffee. Breakfast was wonderful! It offered everything you could possibly need, and we super enjoyed the nice coffee machine for coffee options. The location was excellent for visiting Edinburgh for a couple of days. Taxi rides were not very expensive, and dinner was walkable. I would say the only frustrating thing about the rooms was the lack of any counter space or hooks for placing clothes and toiletries. In our room, instead of a huge sink basin, a small sink basin with surround counter would not have taken up more space but would have been helpful. Also, the last time we stayed, the décor involved cheery, fun pinks and greens with thistle images spread across the walls. I can see where maybe a change was desired, but we really did not prefer the Picasso-esque drawings of distorted naked people and even an orgy over the bed in one of the rooms. The décor was a change but not an improvement. It seems maybe Ibis is aiming for a different clientele than in previous years. But we would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. We were sad to leave! The balcony view was amazing of St. Andrew’s Square. We couldn’t believe it with the price we paid. Definitely an inexpensive hotel with great amenities and staff. They let us check in early as soon as the room was ready and also hold bags for you if the room isn’t quite ready. Also we got two free bar drinks for simply signing up for their rewards program. Don’t mind if I do! The hotel bar was solid, complimentary breakfast was nice and decor was very hip and upscale. Would definitely come back next time!

This is the third time I stay at this hotel. I simply love it. I think it is the best option in Edinburgh. The location is unbeatable, the price is fair, the rooms and all the installations are great and cool and, more importantly; very Scottish. The breakfast is delicious, I love that they have baggies every morning (the best way to start the day is with haggis). I love Scotland, I love Edinburgh, I want to go back and stay at this hotel every single year/as much as possible.

Room and hotel lovely but our room had a blocked drain which flooded when using the shower making the carpet wet. My wife was encouraged to use the hotel app to report the problem which she did but nothing happened. Apparently the app message goes straight to the manager. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Good location

The hotel is in an amazing spot. The room we got was huge (wheelchair accessible room for some reason), the bathroom was not the cleanest, and our shower did not drain. The staff are extremely friendly however. The breakfast has a decent variety of options. Definitely worth staying here for being right in the square!

Stayed here with a friend at the end of August - I've stayed here before and it's always been great, but this time it was even better. The improvements made since my last stay in 2017 were fantastic, including the additions to the breakfast offerings. The rooms were lovely and clean,, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. I also love the location, so handy to everything. Thanks, and see you next time!!
