This is an old school eatery, but all the food is cooked with high standards and passion. The staff are all really friendly and approachable. And, the price is fair. In my opinion, the best greasy spoon in Bristol. And, there aren’t many of them left!

This is the only regular place I keep coming back to in South Bristol. Food choices are excellent, especially the breakfast menu which has the most varieties of an English breakfast I've ever seen as well as many others. You can get also get things like freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff are consistently lovely, you don't have to wait long for anything as well. Ideal combination of giving you space but being there when you need them. People in here never seem to get too noisy with chats too, nice ambient levels. All in all it's a great experience for really reasonable prices on top.

We don't live in Bristol but went back to the city for a second time this weekend, when we visited last year we went to the sunshine cafe and returned again today. Breakfast is very nice and the service is great, friendly staff! Next time we come to Bristol I'm sure we will be back again.

Asked the sunshine cafe to cater for my wedding reception evening do ,paid £650 for buffet, got very poor spread ,some of the food was burnt cakes were cut and squashed into plastic cartain containers and even when we spoke to them saying it wasn't what we asked for they sent more burned food broken biscuits,we were regular customers up until then ,everytime we asked to speak to the owners they where to busy or not there ,staff were rude to us and even said they wouldn't speak to me only my husband, not good enough in my opinion,we have nerlver gone back .

This is a fab little cafe. The owner is so friendly and welcoming to everyone setting a great example. You can watch him and his team of chefs rustle up your food. Hot food quick and clean. I take my Aunt every Friday now as we love it. If I lived closer I would be in there every day. Lots of nice friendly regulars . I am especially impressed with the waiting staff, big smiles and efficient ! All in all a real team effort well worth a visit
