I love the Coffee and having different options for espresso and fun filters is so cool and really tailors the experience! The Barista's always give great recommendations and are really informative and helpful. The cakes are also great, and as a vegan, I appreciate having more than one option and they’re also all delicious. I sat in the window for two coffees and read my book it’s a great peaceful people watching spot.

I was very excited to visit this place with the specialist coffees available, sadly it didnt meet my expectations. The seating is very uncomfortable. My wishes when enjoying tea or coffee is to sit comfortably in a soft seat and savour a little warm moment. Sadly the wooden benches and wooden stools didnt give that feel. The coffee was nice, not special, and there was only 1 decaffinated option. The other point I found particularly disapointing is that they dont accept cash, despite accepting cash tips on the till area. I wasnt going to tip in cash after them not accepting cash payment, if my cash is no good to purchase, its no good to tip. Response- i came to visit you because you were a small independent business, i dont like coffee chains. As a small business you are not impervious to peoples critical feedback, just because of your "small business" status. Small business that are stuggling, accept cash to facilitate anyone using their services, regardless of their access to a bank account. And the level of comfort for patrons during their visit is kind of important when you consider wanting to have a few coffees. Theres no consideration of peoples physical needs when considering your seating options available. People with pain disorders (and other disabilities) are going to struggle as did myself and my wife. Seems your "small business" is taylored towards fit, healthy individuals with access to a bank account. Firstly, you've addressed none of my issues or concerns. Secondly, your telling anyone who reads this that they are not allowed to criticise your business without recieving shaming statements. I can see the love and passion that has gone into the business from the website. Hence why I wrote I was excited to visit. Sadly for me from the website to coffee shop something is seriously lacking. I used the word "status" as you were the one attempting to shame my review and honest feedback for the only reason that you are a small business and you put in alot of love and energy in. You gave yourself that status. Also it takes alot more than passion, love and energy to make a small business work, as other small business owners like yourself will know. One of those attributes is the ability to hear feedback both good and bad, with grace. Review services like Google etc are there for the sole purpose for others to look at where they are planning to go, how other customers have experienced the service and to see if they will like it. I was giving my honest opinion to inform those like myself who prefer to use cash and to have a comfy seat what my experience was. Sadly, your inability to take said feedback under even consideration has solidified to me that i will not be returning. I truly hope your business works for those that are comfortable using it. For those without bank accounts, with limited mobility or a desire for comfort when enjoying a coffee or tea, there are other small independents we can continue to support without fear of retaliation as a response to criticism, not that i would have to if im comfy. Best wishes.

Craft coffee at its finest. One of the best cups I’ve had in England. Maybe THE best cup. Neck and neck with the Kenyan I had a Prufrock. The attention to detail is on full display here.

I wouldn't consider myself a coffee snob but I've had lots of coffee around Bristol and this is by far the best! Had an Iced Oat Latte with Honduran Coffee, super smooth and perfect on the scorcher of a day it was. We didn't eat there but know the bakery they source their Vegan bakes from (Forest Bakery) and can say without doubt it would have been delicious. First visit, very impressed, will certainly be coming back.

Having lived here for the past 6 years and visited hundreds of cafes in that time, Sweven always stands out for its consistently excellent coffee. The milk is always smoothly textured (never flat or reheated..) there's always a couple of espresso blends on offer, the staff are knowledgeable and happy to see you. The place is always clean and tidy. The only detractor is that the service could on occasion be quicker, but in general if you're there for a relaxed coffee or to do some work, good quality coffee is preferable over speed.

Before I went to Bristol I had the opportunity to try sweven Coffee through a monthly taster set. Since I enjoyed it a lot I was looking forward to going to their store on my trip. The atmosphere in the café was very simply decorated but quiet and relaxed nonetheless. An employee immediately came over while I perused their bagged coffee and helped me take my choice according to my preferred flavour profile. I picked up their La Lacuma and back home I immediately tried it, and I was again wonderfully delighted by the sweet notes that carries through the roast. The in-house blend was also lovely with a more earthy and sweet note. The service was great as well. Overall a lovely spot to lean back and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

As always amazing coffees on offer, they are now also selling beans they have roasted and both the bags i purchased have been great. Just to top it off you get the biggest slices of super tasty cake. Have never had any bad experience there.

I'd been wanting to visit Sweven Coffee for a while now. I'm a bit fussy about my coffee and had heard plenty of positive things about Sweven. My visit to this contemporary speciality coffee bar did not disappoint. The space is sleek and minimal, which I liked. And they clearly care about providing their customers with exceptional coffee. Staff are friendly, and the cakes and bakes look delicious. Although I didn't get to try any of their sweet treats on this occasion. For me it was all about the coffee! I also love how the coffee is presented, in a glass, on a little wooden tray with a gold spoon and a glass of water. I think it's fair to say that Sweven is one of the best coffee shops in Bristol.

It is the first cafe we hit during our small journey to The North Street. The cafe is very clean and white in terms of the deco. They offered 2 options for the espresso base here and we picked one of each for our flat white and latte! Personally love drinking a fruity coffee so much!!! The honey taste of the flat white was extremely nice!! Definitely love the coffee here with rich taste and aroma!!
