   I attended counseling with Maria for 6 months in 2019. I found her approach to be friendly and very professional. Maria helped me to come through what was a very low time for me, and I can say without doubt, I would still be feeling awful if I hadn't attend weekly sessions with her. If you are unsure if counseling is right for you, I would recommend meeting with Maria. I can't thank her enough for the help and support she gave me.

   Maria was highly recommended to me and I highly recommend her as well. Although my time with her was relatively short, due to moving from Edinburgh, it was highly affective in my daily life and the way I perceive the past. Her methods are empathetic, receptive and caring whilst simultaneously achieving a level of competence and control that made me feel safe and secure to open up and explore my past trauma. Maria is the type of therapist that will not push you, but only encourage you at your current level of willingness to dig deep and face the challenges in your present or past. I had tried therapy once more prior to my experience with Maria and I felt hopeless because I had not connected with the therapist, but Maria has changed that experience for me. I hope my next therapist when I move cities will be as great as her!

   Maria has all the qualities necessary to be able to help people who are going through difficult times in their lives. She is not only highly professional at all times, but she has a genuine interest in people, and this comes across in counselling sessions with her, making clients at ease and feeling that she actually cares about them and about finding solutions to their problems. Another important quality is that she is extremely open-minded and non-judgmental, which allows her to understand different perspectives on situations and to provide solutions to problems that may not have seemed obvious. Maria is also trilingual, in English, Italian, and Spanish, and this is a great help to clients who want to be able to discuss problems in their own, native, language. For all of these reasons, I cannot rate Maria highly enough as a professional counsellor.
