Really cute looking pub from the outside, first impressions on the inside were fairly decent. We pre booked a table and were meeting friends there. I ordered a mixed grill asked for the steak to be rare, it arrived, it was not rare! Not even close. I confirmed with the server if this was supposed to be rare she said yes, I said it wasn't but I will eat it. The food overall was fine, pretty much the quality of a low budget pub grub. The desserst were really nice. What we didn't like was towards the end of the evening how often the chef and his friend kept running to the restroom together, either they both have very tiny bladders or we perhaps dabbling in other things. I know it was the chef because when my friend bumped into him in the restroom he questioned if he was on the table that had the steak! Not very professional. The guy behind the bar was very friendly, and locals were approachable and friendly. The food & the chef let the place down, I won't be returning

Attended on 18/10, no Fish left for Fish & Chips, no Rump Steak, no cream for one of the desserts, along with waiting close to and hour for our food in a pub which was close to empty. Portion of chips was forgotten so we had to ask. Plates not cleared away before the coffees and desserts come out, again I had to ask for this to happen when everything was staring the waitress in the face. This was for a Birthday meal and was ruined by bad stock planning and lack of attention by the staff. No thank you or gratitude when we left the building (party of 7). Really really poor experience I would not like to experience again. Needs major improvement, no wonder the pub only had 4 people left in it at 8.30pm on a Saturday evening.

While on a short mini-break, my husband and I visited The Wishing Well pub for an overnight stay in the car park. Room for one or two motorhomes, if your van is over seven meters. The pub was very quaint, with reasonably priced food. The young lady called Tash who served us, was lovely. She was very attentive and incredibly welcoming. Would recommend highly.

Lewis was an outstanding host for both drinks and food. Food was cooked brilliantly and as we asked. The atmosphere was quiet but thatβs what we wanted and given mid-week, not surprised. Will defo return. Thanks Lewis

Nice country pub with excellent food and service. I particularly like the waiter/waitress service as it means no hanging at the bar. Good menu selection, although a number of things were sold out on our visit. Still 5 stars as a slight error in our order was corrected without fuss or question.

We stayed here on bonfire night to get away from fireworks so our dog could chill out. Stayed over night in overflow car park in our motorhome. So happy we found this little gem of a pub. Booked a meal on evening for our 1st wedding anniversary and I can honestly say Iβve never enjoyed a meal so much as here. First class food , service and atmosphere. The staff absolutely love the dogs . Made to feel welcome by everyone.

Absolutely beautiful place, gorgeous food and great setting. Would recommend for a cosy country pub vibe, or a romantic evening meal, it can get busy on an evening so please do phone and book a table! The friendliest staff that cater to all of your needs, and a warm feeling all round! Also I love the decor, very autumnal and cosy! Thank you all for a gorgeous meal xx
