   Came last night for a Christmas get together, the service from beginning to end was exceptional. Georgia was so friendly, very welcoming, helpful and super efficient! The food was great, the atmosphere was great, highly recommend! Thank you Georgia you made our night!

   I’ve eaten here before and felt confident ordering the steak pie, mum had the chicken and leak pie. On this occasion the pastry on the pie bases and lids was soft/soggy and we didn’t eat it. We did let the server know but said we’d eat the rest of the meal as we were time restricted today. Glad we had 40% off though as paying full price would have definitely sent both pies back. 2nd review - Sept 25 We were invited back by the manager. This visit was totally different. We both had the pies again and this time they were fabulous. Crusty pastry, veg was good, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. On this visit we would definitely eat here again. Thank you to the Folly staff, Manager and chef.

   We were seated promptly and the welcoming service was great. Took a little while for our drinks order to be taken. The starter arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. Took a long time for our main to arrive and when it did, we were quite disappointed. The lamp duo contained a mini pie, but the amount of lamb rump was ridiculous and we're quite disappointed even with 40% off. The best pie was absolutely delicious and I couldn't fault it, but the accompanying chips and veg were not as nice as they described. It wasn't bad enough to send back to the kitchen, all of our meals weren't, but we were definitely expecting better and as a result, we unfortunately probably won't return. We didn't feel regularly checked up on and a different server forgot our second drinks order, so we had to grab someone again and they arrived promptly, but we ended up being charged for the forgotten drinks. Overall not bad, it's a lovely place, the staff are generally great, but the food just lacks. It may have just been a bad day in the kitchen.

   Fabulous meals, was for my Birthday with family. I was chosen for roast in Yorkshire pudding which was free! Such a lovely surprise. It was huge and gorgeous. Also given a small bottle of Prosecco with a strawberry on the glass. So very kind. We all enjoyed our meals. Really made my day. Server Anna and Paula who gave me the freebie’s were very good. Thank you all so much.

   Nice to be shown to our table. Server came promptly with menus. Good selection and a 2 course special lunch menu. Got busy quite quickly. Starter was served quickly, but had quite a wait for mains. Food hot and tasty. Good portion sizes. Server attentive and polite. Nice coffee. Good experience, will visit again soon.

   Very nice Sunday roast. Booked a table in the bar for a more relaxed atmosphere but the music was a bit too loud. The beef was very nice and tender. I was disappointed that the lamb was not available (booked an early lunch to make sure I could get it) and was told by two members of staff that it’s being removed from the menu altogether (nothing on the menu to suggest this) Friendly service and a friendly staff (bar staff and and waitress) was very helpful and quick with extra condiments. It’s not cheap, but it’s very good food and a nice treat (not your pile it high rubbish) This was nicely cooked and plated spot on. Would definitely go back - Thanks to all at “The Folly”

   Went here for the Spinal Injuries Association monthly meet up. It's a nice pub, easy to get too. The food is typical pub food and they have enty of choice.

   Lovely pub very friendly staff . Will be going again to try the food. We went to try the food today. The seasonal veg turned out to be a tiny portion of peas with my pie and none of the veggies stated on the menu. Some items were not available on the menu unfortunately but my pie was delicious despite the lack of veg. Husband enjoyed his burger. Rather a long wait for our food though.
