I’m not a local. Went to have lunch with family. The food was really lovely. It was served piping hot on warm plates. Not many folks there on a Monday lunch time but we had reserved anyway. I cannot fault the pub and would recommend popping by.

4 of us went to the duck and willow on a Saturday night, got our table and took my coat off half an hour later had to put it back on where it was so cold in the pub,the service was very good the soup was nice and hot i had the pork chop, mashed potato and cabbage and lardons, it wasn't very hot and should have used a steak knife the puddings of the others were fine I chose the selection of cheeses and crackers but it wasn't much of a selection just 2, mild piece of cheddar and a couple of small pieces of Stilton and 4 crackers and a small pot of chutney for the money i paid i expected a few more pieces of cheese and a few grapes won't be going back soon

Had a Sunday roast here. Service was very poor, had to keep asking for waitress to come and take orders at table. Food was overpriced for the quality and quantity. I had roast beef and chicken. The chicken was a £6 addition and it was an overcooked chicken leg! Cauliflower cheese was watery. Roast potatoes were not roasted fully. Shame as pub is nice.

Fantastic Sunday roast, the staff were very helpful and the atmosphere just perfect. A big thank you to Kat who was extremely accommodating and patient sorting my ever changing booking! Thank you.

Fantastic food!!! Went here for Mother's Day Sunday lunch and the roasts were amazing! Every part was cooked beautifully and the desserts also were on point!! Had to wait an hour for our food (which was pre-booked) otherwise would be 5 stars. Best Sunday lunch we have had since we have lived here, highly recommend!

The staff were lovely and the food was amazing with big portions and plenty of gluten free options available. As a disabled person the bathroom was also close by and easily accessible which made the time there easier and less stressful. The only issue we had was the wait, it was practically empty when we arrived, it took 5-10 minutes to be seated and then took nearly an hour to get our food. If it was busy then fair enough but that was definitely longer than I would expect for a lunch time service.

Nice friendly staff, accommodated a table for us without a booking. Enjoyed the food, just felt the wine list could have done with a few more on there, lacking a NZ Sauv! X

Place looked lovely, so did the menu but that wasn't my experience. Food was expensive, £16 for a burger! Waiter took order our order without writing it down, then completely messed up the order. Wrong tea, wrong ingredients removed from burger. No water brought to the despite asking. Nobody came to ask if order was fine. I guess most important thing was the food itself which was disappointing!! Definitely not worth the money or customer service. Would not recommend. Very little parking. Benefits: dog friendly
