We had a large party of 11 people on a late Sunday meal. The ambience was absolutely wonderful, our host was attentive and I have to say Tom looked after us fantastically! We will definitely be back the food was delicious perfect village location and incredibly hospitable. A true gem locally.

I believe that this establishment is under new management. The area where our party of 4 were seated was cold and dingy: lights were off and candles unlit. The staff were attentive and polite. We were all disappointed by the lack of choice on the menu and specials board. Food arrived in good time but was dry and over cooked. Beers were good. However large glass of wine (which seemed quite small) cost £10.50! Food was very expensive for what was basic pub food. 10% service charge automatically added. The whole pub was quite empty and it was a Saturday night, which seems unusual for this once very popular county pub. The new owners need to review the menu, prices, put the heating and lights on and light the lovely log fire. Sorry we won’t be returning until this happens.

The White Hart is a wonderful country pub. There is plenty of parking and lovely outdoor areas. A large terrace in the front and a cosy coutyard at the back. Inside there are loads of different rooms, so easy to find a quiet corner for lunch. The staff are excellent and very attentive. The lunch menu is limited mainly to the usual pub burgers, fish and chips, steak and gammon options. There is a enticing specials board. The desserts are delicious and recommended.

Only stopped by for a drink in the beautiful beer garden. Pub looked really clean, well maintained and decor was very welcoming. Pub was busy with groups eating and food looked good. Enjoyed a nice pint in the generous beer garden with lovely views to take in as you while away the time. Lots of footpaths in the area so a perfect place for a rest on a walk.

We turned up here without a booking on a Sunday and were warmly welcomed into the sunny garden, overlooking the fields. We ordered our meals separately at the bar to avoid bill splits, and this was handled really well. Three of us ordered the roast chicken, not something I usually order as it can be dry, but something pulled me towards the chicken. It was phe-nomenal! A half chicken on the bone, roasted so well that the breast meat was juicy and tender. We even asked for the cooking method (plenty of basting) so we could try and recreate it.. I doubt we will! On top of that the staff were over and above friendly, and ensured I was topped up with gravy after I asked for a second jug. I was in heaven.. I will return for that chicken even though I live in London! Thanks all!

Best pub Sunday roast I have had in years! Absolutely superb in every respect. Perfectly prepared veg, great roasties and sumptuous beef (in my case) with lots of delicious gravy. Live in the village and best it’s ever been! Well done Daisy and team

Brilliant. Delicious food and very family friendly even with our raucous 4 year olds and screaming newborn. We felt very welcome and didn’t feel like we disturbed other customers as we were wisely placed in an annexe with other families. Great service. Lovely pub.

We took a lovely walk across the fields, sticking to the public foot paths and planed this pub at about the halfway point. We had a shared ploughman's and some wine. The service was good the staff helpful and the weather perfect. We finished are wine sat in the garden, that over looks the river. Then coffee before a very enjoyable walk back home. All in all a perfectly enjoyable day

We had booked for outside and it had been raining. But it was still worth it. Staff very helpful and food was delicious. The views are pretty too. Will be back again and would recommend.
