   A 'cosy' rural pub serving rural pub food and drinks. Rustic and charming with a large and devoted local patronage. They don't take bookings over the phone so don't bother calling. Food served from midday so my advice would be turn up early for lunch, grab a beer, relax and become one with the idea that this is good 'home cooked' food not fast food.

   Cute quaint pub offering a small menu for food including sandwiches, jacket potatoes and ploughmans. The advantage of the small menu means food is served rapidly. It’s high google rating means the place gets packed. We arrived at 11:50 on a Sunday and there was a queue of 10 people waiting for the opening already. We managed to grab a table and have a great time but it definitely gets busy. Portions look small on the photos but trust me they fill you up! My jacket potato with vegetable chilli was hearty and filling.

   Lovely find not far from Bristol Airport. We were a little early for our flight so called in for a livener. Although we didn’t eat, the food looked and smelled amazing. Ample seating inside and outside with friendly, competent staff.

   Visited on a sunny Monday lunchtime. Nice open garden and undercover open area at the back (great to have the cover and still be outside if raining). Also got nice terrace area at the front. We went with friends who recommended the beef sandwiches so we ordered those - and they are really really scrummy. Indoors it is lovely, traditional stone floors and small bar. Great selection of beers and cider. A great find!

   Hidden gem. Great little pub with good select of traditional food. Had the Farmers Ploughman and was not disappointed. Always seems very busy, so need to get there early. Lovely outdoor seating with plenty of room. Dog friendly inside and outside.

   The Crown is unique in every way and a blast from the past. Quirky, old fashioned and rustic. A very small village pub, perfect for a drink after a long walk, to talk to friends and have something to eat. The staff are really friendly, with an excellent choice of ales, ciders, etc. The menu has a good selection of food, for such a small place. When busy, please be prepared to wait for your order, but it's definitely worth that wait. Food is made fresh to order, in a very tiny kitchen. Dogs are also made for feel welcome. An amazing place and well worth a visit.

   Great traditional and earthy pub - perfect after a long walk. Dogs welcome. Kids too (apparently on a lead according to the sign above the bar). The value for money was crazy - we had a ploughmans and the amount of food we got for what we paid was awesome. Perfect stop on a winters day with warm log burner. Note: It can get busy and you can't reserve a table

   Little gem of a place. Excellent food, excellent service and dogs welcome we had the ploughman's lunch and it was the best we have tasted for some time. The pint of Cider helped. Will be going back soon

   Can hands down day this is our favourite pub..... absolutely love the olde worlde charm of this place... The food is exceptional and the choice of beers and ciders is amazing.... they serve cornish rattler yum... Oh can also say the bar snacks are good best pork scratchings and I can resist a pickled egg.
