Popped in for a Sunday lunch after a walk with the dog. Had a wonderful Sunday Roast. This is a real hidden gem in Banwell as it is off the main road, but it is well worth a visit. A real traditional pub, staff ate very friendly and welcoming. They have lots of live music and do weekly pub quizzes.
An absolutely fantastic venue, offering hearty food, great music, and a consistently vibrant atmosphere. It’s a place that truly welcomes everyone, no matter their background. As a gay man, I always feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease here. The venue also boasts brilliant outdoor spaces, fun activities, and an impressive selection of drinks. The staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. To top it off, it’s dog-friendly, which is a huge bonus. You’re guaranteed to have a wonderful time and leave with unforgettable memories.
From start to finish, our Sunday lunch was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour, exactly what you want from a Sunday roast. But what truly made the experience special was the outstanding service from Clare. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Every detail was taken care of with a smile, and her friendly manner made the whole meal feel extra special. Popped in for a drink and a bite to eat this evening and to be honest you cannot fault the place! Food is fairly priced and generous portions and the customer service was fab!

Was feeling cold and hungry after an awful day weather wise. There was an American Independence day theme that night where burgers etc. were the food but they kindly let us put in a normal order from the menu. Nicely cooked and presented. Very tasty. Thank you.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I'd like to have given this place 5 stars and I'm sure as time goes on things will improve. However I've knocked off 1 star because quite a few things on the menu were not available. It also took over 45 minutes to arrive (in a fairly empty pub) and each dish arrived 5 minutes apart so as the last person started eating others were finishing.
Polite barmaid served us at the table. Food choice was expected bar fayre and we had chicken & mushroom pie. The tarragon sauce was not to our taste, but it was a fresh pie and decent portion sizes. Only one person serving and I had to wait ten mins at the bar to pay for our meal. Would recommend. Good food and pub atmosphere.
Visited with friends for a Thai gourmet evening. The food was a fabulous 3 course meal. Such a good chef. Will definitely come back again. The best meal we have had for a long time. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. Totally covid safe compliant.
