   Very helpful staff, I purchased two axolotls from Fishkeepers Melville. Have been in a couple of times since to discuss filters and live plants and made various purchases. Staff are very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable, we particularly dealt with Darren who was amazing with providing advice. Overall always a great experience and I will always return here, and recommend to friends and family.

   Such lovely staff here, I have learned so much about fish keeping from them and they’re so informative and kind! I started off with a small betta tank, and have since upgraded to a 70 litre planted tank with the help of their products. Their fish are always perfectly healthy (I avoid pet stores at all costs now as they are usually old or have ich in my experience, but Maidenhead Aquatics’ fish never do)! I will never go to any other aquatics store in Edinburgh.

   The staff are very passionate about keeping fish and are very knowledgeable about what fish best suit your aquarium. There is a large variety of fish, shrimps and snails to choose from along with accessories, plants and other essential fish keeping items in this store. When we were first setting up our aquarium, the member of staff made sure we had everything we needed and advised us on which fish we could have. In subsequent visits to buy creatures for my aquarium, the staff were always happy to discuss how many fish/ shrimps I could have and what fish were compatible with each other.

   Best FishKeepers’ business in town. I mean, there are few left but it’s still amazing. Nice: freshwater, saltwater, ponds and equipment for all levels, ages and tastes. It’s even a nice place to hang out and meet fellow reefers and aquarists!

   Good place for fish that has improved in recent year. Nice stock and great advice. Alan has been great - friendly and helpful. I had a warranty claim on a light which was no trouble at all and a replacement was swiftly organised. Also got some new shrimp and fish. He is always happy to help and answer any questions we have.
