My cat has diabetes and unfortunately needed help to manage it. She is very challenging and I canβt thank the team enough. My friend was looking after her for me whilst I was away and they also kept me informed about her condition. I am able to call them for advice if and when I need to. Thank you so much everyone. Anne.

Great vets always treated our dogs well and staff are polite and friendly no hassles . I get a lot of reminders about health checks and appointments. Only giving 4 stars because quite expensive but that is true for most Vet practices. It is peace of mind that any out of hours emergency can be done on site.

This is a mixed review because we liked the vets at Braid Vets very much but we became increasingly concerned & dumbfounded by the poor communication & incorrect information given by the reception staff; e-mails which reception staff acknowledged they had "missed" containing urgent infomation for which they did apologise; poor communication which on one day necessitated me having to phone 3 times to clarify how to request a repeat prescription & being given 3 contradictory sets of instructions as the first 2 reception staff had given wrong information; the final straw came when I was told by one member of reception staff that, "the law said" my dog had to be seen by a vet every 6 months. No such law exists. It is concerning that as veterinary practices are being bought over by corporate organisations & vet bills spiral we have responsible pet owners who are struggling to take animals to be seen by a vet without the scaremongery of being told "the law says" we have to take our pets for a health check every 6 months. So as I say a mixed review; terrific vets, corporate management & extremely poor communication & many training needs at reception level.

Wonderful vet practice. Nothing is ever too much trouble . Indivualised care . Made to feel your pet is at the centre of every decision aspect of care. Gentle, high quality and compassionate vets. Ollie has been with them since a puppy. Wellness checks every 6 months .Due to recent emergency surgery abroad the practice facilitated we saw the same vet to ensure continuity of care which allowed detailed assessment of his neurological progress . They were absolutely outstanding throughout his rehabilitation. Always at the end of the phone to answer a concern at such an acute time . Wonderful reception staff too ! Thank you to everyone at Braids Hospital you make a real difference!

With five, and now four rescue dogs I have spent a lot of time at this practise and am always bowled over by the kindness and humanity shown by every member of the team here. Theyβve taken the time to get to know the pups and given them space to feel less scared, which is a big thing for these traumatised wee souls. Theyβve also been hugely supportive to me, helping me navigate and nurture the dogs through some pretty huge medical scares. I really canβt recommend Braid Vets Mayfield enough.

A welcoming, caring practice. My cats have had great, loving care, from check-ups to emergency treatment. All treatment, costs and next steps are lways explained, but with no pressure. I like the on-site hospital - it meant my cat had emergency overnight and follow-up treatment the next morning at the same location. And they have parking!

Overcome with first time cat mum paranoia I called to check on whether the amount of times my wee kitten had visited his litter tray was normal, I didn't get the name of the man i spoke to but he couldn't have been kinder or more understanding, he talked me down and reassured me and gave me great advice. Such a great first experience of this service! Thankyou so much!

I have been going to Braid Vets for a while now and I am always delighted with the service, and the way the vets clearly care about each and every one of the animals brought to them. The staff on reception are also incredibly helpful , professional, and friendly. I am completely confident that Braid Vets will take great care of my cat and that they have her best interests in mind every time they see her, whether for a routine check up or a specific health issue. Sadly, I had to have my other cat put to sleep 2 years ago (during lockdown), this was a very tragic and traumatic time for me but the vets and staff at the practice were so kind and considerate and I really appreciated everything they did. Thank you to everyone at Braid Vets.

An emergency vet visit is bound to be a stressful experience but the staff at Braid Vets were so kind and helpful. Very happy with the care provided last month. Many thanks.

We had a great expereince with Braid Vets! We are from the US and needed to get our dogs vaccinations updated prior to moving back to the US and of course this is happening during the time of Covid-19. Braid Vets had great measures in place for social distancing. Although I cannot speak to the inside of the facility, the staff was so kind and helpful and I wish we could keep his vet, Allison as his permanet vet! Allison was amazing, we loved her and highly reccomend her!
