Simple pension overlooking a large boulevard where a lot of vehicles pass: noisy even with the windows closed. The bathrooms are shared: there is better for hygiene. Distrust to pay especially if you stay several days: we invite you to pay in cash and we refuse credit cards contrary to the information given by Tania Guest House on the reservation emails. Disappointing.

The room is quiet clean but the bathroom is a big no go. It is not en suite and is used by the other rooms too. The breakfast is ok not good not bad. The staff is polite but bit yet friendly. All in all: the price is much much to high for this quality

Very expensive for the service provided! Small room and internal bathroom, dark and not very heated. Generally it gives the idea of a not very clean environment including the towels that just changed smelled of fried!!! Kind staff

A wonderful guesthouse in Edinburgh: They literally make you feel at home (not just because you have to do the dishes). They give you a key to the house so you can come and go as you please. Enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast. I highly recommend the guesthouse for the excellent service, as it seems to be run by the owners. Clean rooms with everything you need. If you want something 'good, nice, and cheap,' this is a great option. Just a few meters away, you can wait for the bus that takes you to the center of Edinburgh (museums, galleries, the castle, The Whisky Experience). For economists, it's within walking distance of Adam Smith's grave and much more.

There is a resident cat there. So watch out if you are allergic. I liked the staff and the room but am allergic to the cat and did not know about it before we went.
