Clean rooms and friendly staff. The location is walking distance to everything you need. The apartment is equipped with evreything that you need, kitchenwares and basic toiletries. Easy check in, we left our bags in the corridor sonce we’re too early for check in, i’ll say the place is safe and the receptionist is pleasant, i think his name is Brian. We had a short pleasant stay.

We had a great stay. Apartments are really comfortable and well equipped. Communication was excellent and email arrived with clear check in instructions and we did not need to see any staff. Yes there is some street noise in the morning but you are in the heart of Edinburgh and the location more than makes up for it.

Great location for a great price. Very conveniently close to a lot of monuments - can walk to a lot of shops, cafes, restaurants and sights within 20min. Yes, the sound proofing could be a bit better, but I've noticed that it's a common flaw in most Scottish buildings. We were a party of 4 and the apartment we stayed at was very accommodating. Didn't interact with any staff but it was easy to move around and check in/out on your own. Yes, the elevator can only hold two people w/ two bags, but what do you expect with smaller/older apartments. The macerator feature was interesting but we understand the usage, though yes, the sound can be surprising (especially for people new to it). Overall, a solid stay - would stay at again!

Although the apartment is well located and the facilities are modern, the service leaves a lot to be desired. There were four of us, but we were only given two towels. The description mentioned there would be a coffee maker, but there wasn’t one, and there was no toilet brush either. In the morning, the street noise was very disturbing and the curtains let in too much light, making it hard to rest properly. Finally, we asked to check out a little later, but we were told to hurry up or we would be charged extra. Overall, the experience was quite negative and we would not stay here again.

The Spires Serviced Apartments, located on Hanover Street in a central 18th-century building, offers nice and spacious accommodations. Our apartment was on the top floor and quite hot during the day, but it was otherwise well-equipped with large rooms. While some aspects feel a bit outdated and the heavy fire doors can be a challenge, it remains a solid and roomy option for a central Edinburgh stay.

Very dirty place, cleaning is not regular, there are mice in the apartment. Bad smell from the windows in one room from the café ventilation. Very noisy, especially while taking bins, it was difficult to sleep or you can get up in the middle of the night from lots of glass thrown to bins. Good kitchen with all that you need but the fridge is too small. As for me, I can tolerate most of this, even the odour of dead mouse in a bedroom but not alive mouse, I was really scared.

Good location in city centre. Noisy at night but that goes with the good location. Spacious appartment, everything is in place what should be there. However, it would be nice also when it as clean. Kitchen floor and furniture were not clean at all. Oven was very dirty. Sink of the shower is very dirty so that after 2 minutes showering you need to stop to prevent the water flooding into the bathroom. They speak about a daily service, however we did not see anybody. If the cleaning material had been there, I would have immediately started to clean the apartment.

Apartment was nicely decorated and fairly modern looking. Had all the standard amenities EXCEPT it was way too hot, there are no fans and no A/C and the windows only open a crack because they have stoppers installed. Would not recommend staying during the summer.

Absolute disgrace. Arrived to no one in reception. Used buzzer to be told the keys for our apartment were in the safe. Checked safe and our keys weren't there. Had to wait an hour with our luggage for someone to arrive out a taxi with the keys. We had a prior engagement for my wife's birthday which we missed due to no fault of our own. When we brought this up to the Spires we were told nothing could be done. No apology was issued and no compensation offered although we were £95 for the night to stay there and also £60 for tickets to our tour. Joke of a company. Avoid at all costs.

Great rooms, clean and modern. Would be 5 star, but the first night we were in the room which was right next to the club next door and it was so incredibly noisy, however the lady at the reception moved us into a new room and was very understanding. Would recommend (just not apartment 6- the noisy one).
