Terrible experience — poor service, dirty rooms, and badly designed spaces We stayed as a family of four (two adults, two kids), and our experience was disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, no help was provided for our luggage despite a steep entrance. The receptionist claimed to be “alone,” which was false — we saw other staff but none of them bothered to assist. We were left struggling with heavy luggage and kids after a long journey. The breakfast area was extremely cramped. It was so small we were constantly bumping into other guests just walking to our table. It felt chaotic and unpleasant, definitely not what you expect when paying for a relaxing holiday. We booked the Royal Mile Suite, which was large but poorly designed — the layout made no sense and the space felt dark and gloomy. Worst of all, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The suite was dirty everywhere, and honestly, it looked like they barely bothered to clean. We regretted booking this hotel and would absolutely not recommend it to families or anyone expecting even basic comfort or service. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

We loved this hotel and our room had a stunning view of Edinburgh Castle. Any time of day was wonderful to sit and sip whisky! Loved the modern bathroom, coffee machine, oatcakes, and ample pillows. Staff were helpful and friendly and hotel was very clean

We came to Edinburgh for three nights and after looking at a lot of hotels decided on the Radisson Collection. We went for the premier collection on the top floor with a castle view. Lovely view, fridge did not work and was told by reception that it’s not really a fridge?? The bed was big and very comfy, no where to hang your coats in such a spacious room. Parking was great and very reasonable for a city. Breakfast was nice with a good choice although the bacon was terrible and under cooked and fatty. On our last day there was a big group of about 70 and they ran out if everything and when I asked a waiter for some items that had ran out he replied he was busy sorting out the juice. Would have thought he would have been better replenishing the food instead of cleaning the juice area and been more helpful. We enjoyed our stay, when we checked out I was not asked how our stay was? Friendly staff but for a 5 star a few minor issues.

A lovely hotel. The rooms had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was super king size, on the firm side but aided a very restful sleep, and the pillows lovely and comfortable. The shower was to die for also. However being charged £6 for a pineapple juice and soda was ridiculous.

LOVE THIS HOTEL! You walk inside and in but a moment you've entered this beautiful, modern oasis...your new home away from home...in one of the world's most extraordinary cities!! The reception desk staff are some of the most gracious and patient people I've had the pleasure to meet and interact with... They set the mood beautifully. My room was on the front side of the hotel and from my modern room the ancient building across the way was a perfect "opposites attract" kind of moment! Everything about my room was quirky, fun, hip, and most comfortable and quiet!! The giant shower was equally decadent and soothing all at the same time! My giant bed was sooooo equally comfortable and soothing after long days of walking all over Edinburgh.... Just saying! The breakfast buffet in the very nice dining room was quite delicious and full of choices that should appeal to even picky eaters. The staff aim to make everyone happy and I think they succeed beautifully! The neighborhood is quirky and the hotel is just around the corner and a short walk from Edinburgh Castle! I highly recommend this well-appointed modern hotel and the great team of personnel who all make it tick with great ease and excellence! Bravo!!

This hotel is in a perfect position to explore Edinburgh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. This was one of the best hotel beds ever! We were with a large group and they did not miss a beat. The breakfast buffet was wonderful! The wait staff was very professional and helpful.

Really fantastic hotel, great views from most of the rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we especially liked our surprise card and dessert for our anniversary that was left in our room. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast every day and it's cheaper to pay for it in advance than on the day. They have a continental buffet breakfast and a cooked breakfast option. Both were very tasty and good value for money. We also visited the restaurant in the evening one night and the food was delicious but the portion size (for the price) wasn't good value for money. There are so many good restaurants around the hotel that you can get better value for money and equally as good food in a few minutes walk. I would definitely recommend the hotel though and would be happy to go back. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the beds were very comfortable, if a little hard for our liking. The shower in the bathroom was great and the chairs in the room were comfortable too.

Absolutely fantastic hotel for seeing the sights in Edinburgh. Loved our weekend stay and we actually got married here! The rooms were lovely, we had a complimentary upgrade to a suite as we had our ceremony here too. From the moment we arrived to check out the staff were fantastic; short notice pressing of my wedding dress was arranged without a problem by the front of house manager. Really appreciated all the little touches. Great place for getting about too; short walk to the castle, art gallery, Old Town, Christmas markets etc etc. Loved it :-)
