    Took the car in as planned and did MOT and replaced wipers. All very smooth and helpful as in Bath not way out in Trowbridge. I’d like to see full servicing restored to Bath (including electric vehicles). We’ll all be driving them soon.

    Took my Renault Clio in to get a rear windscreen wiper motor replaced under warranty in February 2020 and during the free vehicle health check, Platinum Renault informed me that my front brake discs and pads needed replacing, which I knew they would soon. They quoted me £425.94 to replace only my FRONT brake discs and pads - which I queried with the Sales Advisor and informed them that I had been quoted approx. £180 for the same job (which I made up on the spot), which they said they could not match. They called back about 30 minutes later and then miraculously quoted me £183.10 saying that they had re-quoted for 'Renault approved parts' rather than official 'Renault parts' that the previous quote was for. This seems a little bit shady to me. My advice to the dealership is be transparent and honest with your customers - i.e. tell your customers that they could go with the official Renault parts or the Renault approved parts, specifying the price difference. Unfortunately this seems to be an example of a money-hungry garage that fundamentally does not care about value for money for their customers. My advice to customers is to research what a certain job is likely to cost before agreeing to any work at this garage because it does not seem you can trust this garage to be open and transparent. I would give 1 start for this garage based on this, however, I have had my car serviced at this garage and received a very good service, hence they redeemed themselves 1 additional star.
