    DO NOT RECOMMEND — READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE GOING HERE I took my BMW 218i M Sport to this garage on 01/08/2025 to inspect a faulty heat management module and a noisy turbo wastegate. I was charged £144 for the diagnostic, which is only about £30 less than BMW would charge. However, unlike BMW, I was not given a detailed report of the checks actually carried out. The invoice only had two brief lines describing the issues I had reported, and they simply provided a quote for a full turbo replacement. I later took my car to another garage, who correctly identified the issue, provided evidence with detailed paperwork, and replaced a specific part (the wastegate) for just under £280, including fitting and VAT — a much more reasonable and targeted fix. When I raised concerns with the first garage, instead of addressing the matter professionally, I was met with threats. Lee or Harry (whoever is responsible, bold or older gentlemen) refused to provide me with the original quote unless I removed my negative review, and even called me from an unknown number despite me having already paid in full for the inspection. Given the lack of proper inspection and poor customer service, I should have at least been given a refund, but this was not offered. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone. The service was overpriced, unprofessional, and lacking in basic customer care and management. I strongly suspect many of the positive reviews are from family or friends. This experience was a complete waste of time and money, and caused unnecessary stress. If someone on my team treated customers this way, they’d be out of a job. Avoid this business. Regards, Roger

    I had a fantastic service from Lee. I turned up unannounced and he diagnosed the problem and ordered the spare part for my 430 i Gran Coupe within 10 minutes of arriving. The job was completed today inside 20 minutes. Can't recommend highly enough.

    Thank for fantastic service! It was such a relief that Clayton cars were able to inspect my car within minutes of my panic call to them when my BMW suddenly displayed brake errors on my visit to Bristol. The problem was quickly identified by their knowledgeable technicians and replacement parts ordered for repairs to be made first thing the next day. Superb friendly service!

    I recently returned to Clayton Cars after 10 years, having just bought a Mini that needed a handbrake adjustment. Walking in and seeing Lee again felt like catching up with an old friend—such a warm and welcoming experience! One of the younger mechanics (I think Pip’s son) took care of the handbrake and jokingly reassured me, “It’s good for handbrake turns now” The level of honesty, integrity, and customer service here is truly outstanding. They also helped me order some parts and will be fitting them soon—just another example of their fantastic service. It’s so refreshing to find a garage where you feel like more than just a customer. Highly recommended.

    Happy with the service but let down by the communication as I had asked for several problems to be fixed and was relying on this , however when i collected my car 2 days later I was frustratingly informed several of the issues had not been fixed as they did not realise I wanted them fixed, despite me explicitly asking for this. They simply confirmed the problems I knew were already there. Won’t come back as has wasted my time because I still need to book my car in somewhere else now.

    Today I took my wife’s Mini Countryman into Clayton Cars for a service. I’d used them before for the MOT and was very happy to return. The service light was on but I didn’t know what was required. Lee kept me fully informed of the extent of the service required and the approximate cost. The level of service was exceptional and Lee couldn’t do enough for me. Truly excellent customer service (again). I would recommend anyone with a BMW or Mini to use Clayton Cars for services and MOT’s. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    I cannot recommend Clayton Cars more highly. They were brilliant, fixing my car in super quick time. They are a breath of fresh air. Other garages (including main dealer) did not inspire me with confidence but I’m so glad I found these guys and cannot recommend them highly enough. I WILL be taking my car back to them from now on.

    I highly recommend Clayton Cars to anyone who has a BMW or Mini. They've always looked after me and my BMW superbly. Absolutely expert and I trust them completely. Pete, Lee and all the boys there know exactly what they're doing and are only too happy to explain anything you want to know in a friendly and professional manner. I'm extremely happy that I chose to take my car there when I first got my BMW, I now wouldn't dream of taking it anywhere else. 10 out of 10 - a truly brilliant independent and local company!
