   I’m absolutely delighted with the full repair and clean that Brendan did on my late father’s 1960s mechanical Tissot Seastar. The watch was running very fast, and was very marked and tarnished, with a badly damaged watch crystal. I picked it up today and it looks fantastic, especially with its new chestnut leather strap. Thank you so much for all the care and attention you put into this repair. I’m so pleased that I can now wear my dad’s lovely old watch every day.

   Absolutely delighted with Brendan Haddock’s extremely swift repair of my gold bracelet just in time for our daughter’s wedding less than a week later! Also for allowing me to take home a black pearl necklace to try on with my wedding outfit - and which my husband very kindly bought for me!    My wife bought me a Seiko quartz watch when we got engaged. That was nearly 42 years ago! About 15 years ago, the watch needed a new battery. I duly took the watch to an Edinburgh jeweller to have the battery replaced. In the process of changing the battery, they broke the glass. The jeweller (allegedly) tried to have the glass repaired but said that it couldn’t be fixed and gave me a ‘modest’ credit towards another watch. I disliked the replacement watch so much I subsequently gave away. I always felt that the Seiko watch could be repaired if I could just find a skilled jeweller to do so. Completely by chance, I came across Brendan Haddock Jewellers who advertised that, amongst many things, repaired watches. I entrusted my Seiko to them for an assessment as to whether or not a repair was possible. The came back and said that it was possible to replace the glass, but that the assessment revealed that the watch needed an overhaul and possibly parts. In essence, there was no guarantee given that the watch could be repaired to a fully working condition. Given its sentimental value, I was more than happy to go ahead with any attempt to get the watch working again. After a few weeks, Brendan Haddock Jewellers contacted me to say that my watch was ready for collection and was indeed working. To say the least I was delighted. As I couldn’t go to the shop to pick up the watch, my wife went on my behalf. The jeweller who repaired the watch gave her the back story of why it took a bit longer to repair than anticipated. Not only had he replaced the glass, but that he had gone to the effort of sourcing spare parts from both India and Canada. He also had more than a few challenges getting both the parts and the overall watch properly calibrated and working. I still can’t believe he went to so much effort to repair my watch, and critically, the price agreed at the outset was the price I paid. To say that I’m over the moon with my watch is an understatement. It clearly has sentimental value to my wife and I. We can’t thank Brendan Haddock enough for his expertise and craftsmanship. Just goes to show, find the man who knows and the seemingly difficult becomes possible. I can’t recommend Brendan Haddock Jewellers highly enough. Thank you.

My treasured watch (out of action for several years) has arrived back in perfect working order today and looking like new.    I recently had a 45 year old mechanical watch serviced by Brendan and am absolutely delighted with the work done. The watch is only a relatively inexpensive Omega Geneve, but it has considerable sentimental value to me. It had been rather neglected, never serviced and was running very fast. It is now accurate to a few seconds per day. In my view, this is really excellent for an old mechanical device and probably close to (or perhaps even better than) its performance when new. As part of the servicing, the watch crystal was renewed and the case polished to remove the many scratches and blemishes accumulated over the years – it came back looking like brand new! Brendan also carried out servicing and some repair work on my partner’s watch. Again, this is not an especially valuable timepiece but has great sentimental value to her. It too is now working reliably once again. Prior to leaving our watches with Brendan, we were given an honest assessment of the amount of work required and the estimated cost. It is refreshing to find a knowledgeable and skilled person able to undertake such work and I would look no further than Brendan Haddock if you require any watch repairs or servicing.

   Excellent service from start to finish. My Rolex had a few nasty scratches on the bracelet. I took it to Brendan who quoted way below what I expected to pay. Two days later I returned to pick it up and not only did he sort out the scratches, he also re-finished the clasp too. My watch is now close to showroom condition. Thanks again Brendan and I shall recommend your service to my friends.
