I had some sessions with Kate in March 2020. She is hugely experienced and gave me so much confidence in myself. I learnt so much from her, and have recommended her to friends.
Have had a couple of sessions with Kate and felt in safe hands. She's friendly, positive, approachable and explained a lot of things that have helped technique and breathing. I didn't realise how hard it would be learning how to swim distance in open water. Now I feel equipped to start training for longer swims.
Kate is really supportive and was great at building my confidence. She provided calm, thorough advice about risks and risk management, alongside a total passion for the sea and sharing all that it brings. I went to the first session really anxious and scared but she was brilliant and I can't begin to describe how magic it felt swimming in the huge and lovely sea. I wish everyone could feel like that. I would totally recommend Kate as a great sea swimming tutor and hope other folk enjoy it as much as I did.
Kate is a brilliant teacher and really makes you feel comfortable. Her practice is inclusive of all, and her tips included videos to help me understand what I could do differently to improve my technique. She's also helped build confidence in my ability and I entered my first Aquathlon event since taking a lesson with her. Brilliant teacher and person in general, highly recommend!
Kate has worked with me and a friend preparing us for wild swimming over three sessions and it has been worth every penny. She is calm, warm and friendly and very clear and helpful. We know the risks and dangers but we also understand the opportunities and have found wonderful places to swim with Kate’s advice. 2021 is our wild swimming year and I am loving every minute of it.
