Highly recommend this quirky place, we had a really good delicious breakfast with great coffee here! Come across it by chance as we were visiting Glasgow and was not disappointed. Staff were really friendly and the atmosphere (music and just a great vibe) were excellent!

I had the best burger ever here! Give the Manhatan burger a go and you will be amazed by the high quality of the food and the great taste! Also very affordable! We loved it!

I had the Manhattan Burger for lunch and it was absolutely perfect! Juicy, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The quality and flavor really stood out I’d definitely come back again.

Really enjoyed this cafe. It felt like stepping out of the noisy, grey streets and into a cosy nook with great tunes, tasty food and really lovely staff. A real gem, with lots of great people watching to be done. Oh and a really delicious classic cheeseburger with lots of melty cheese. Why would you ever go to a big chain when you've got this round the corner? Will definitely be back.

Really good and pretty reasonably priced Scottish breakfast for us here. Service was impeccable and the music albeit a little too loud is pleasant. Particularly enjoyed the Scottish specialties of Lorna sausage and potato cake.

Hidden gem you can easily walk by without knowing how good it is. Generous portions for a very reasonable price. A traditional fry up is extremely filling and really sets you up for full a day of travel. The service is top notch as well. Thank you! I love the unique decor. You can really feel the history in this place.

This is such a fun and unique restaurant! The food is absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere is super fun. You can tell the building is old, and it has tremendous character. We sat up top (just note the steep stairs) and watched the food being made from above. We had such a fun breakfast here! Pro Tip: Just note that if you sit up top, the smoke from the food rises so you'll likely smell like breakfast food the rest of the day!

A really nice "old school" characterful cafe. You'd walk straight past this place but honestly an experience for any tourist. Excellent food, nice teas & coffees and a pleasure to sit and relax in. I'll be back that's for sure!!

This is a classic example of finding a “hidden gem” thanks to Google Reviews. Cafe Sono is a small spot tucked away under the street overpass at Glasgow Central. When you step into the small, eclectically decorated interior we were welcomed by a delicious medley of aromas and a friendly greeting. Based on repeated recommendations here on Google we ordered two chicken kebab platters and two cold drinks. The kebab platters were delicious as advertised, with a bit of a surprise bonus in the form of a really delicious green salad. All in the meal was £16 (about CDN $28) - great value and a delicious meal.

Beautiful little cafe tucked away under the hielanman’s umbrella. We struggled to find anywhere providing a traditional Scottish breakfast until we discovered this place. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the decor was so unique and quirky (wooden benches, upstairs cosy seating). We enjoyed our breakfast, and it was a great price. The only thing I’d change is the quality of the ingredients as it was noticeable for the sausages for example that they tasted cheap. Otherwise perfect.
