Great shop, although range of fresh produce is limited.

I was super happy to find a place that sells my favourite vegan cheese after searching for it all over, I hurried over after speaking to someone on the phone and confirming they had two of the cheeses on reduced prices. The store looked nice and i was so excited to find a place with all my favourite vegan options that i overlooked the sour faces from the employees. It feels as though they don't want you to be there... I didn't think i'd spent Β£150 at the time, so i didn't bring any bags, but i was then happy to hear from the casheer that you get a free one with every Β£50 spent, therefore i assumed i'd get 3 but felt like i had to beg for just one more. When i headed home I realised the cheeses were both off and ineadible and that i was made to pay for all the bags. I thought that calling to ask about the cheeses with a photo would be enough after being a good customer, and guess what? They asked me to bring over the two moudly cheeses to the store for them to consider a refund... So overall, the store is nice but not worth it for the attitude and they don't carry anything you can't find elsewhere for cheaper and for a better experience. For me it will have to be a one time visit.

With its convenient location in Tollcross and a wide range of products, I consider this the best organic shop in Edinburgh. Although it’s not huge, you can still find very niche items like millet amazake, wheat germ bread, tempeh, ceremonial grade matcha, and even mugwort mochi. They also sell a range of organic cereals by weight, which works out cheaper overall. There's a selection of tasty β€” albeit very expensive β€” vegan and gluten-free snacks as well. The staff are always willing to drop what they're doing to help you find what you're looking for, and they're all consistently polite and helpful. I honestly really enjoy shopping there.

Good shop with nice selection but make sure you look at your receipt after. Prices are often not matching (by 10 to 40p by product). Every single time I'd go I'd have to tell the cashier to double check a few articles. I didn't mind the first couple times but when it's every single time for the same products (flapjack and kombucha for me) while this should have been updated in the system after realising it, it becomes annoying as a customer. I've read similar reviews so time to change that!

It has in deed real foods, I have never seen Hummus with clean ingredients like the one they have.

Just read some of the reviews for this place and was pretty surprised by the poor reviews. I have been shopping here for i think as long as it has existed and have never had anything but extremely polite and helpful customer service. In fact in general the staff always go out of their way to accommodate me keen to check stock downstairs. Great selection of products. Thanks for keeping the food real!

I love this place and buy stuff regularly from the Tollcross shop, as they have a great variety. However they are constantly overcharging me for products. If I tell them, they they rectify it at the till but how many times am I overcharged when I don't realise? It's very frustrating that it happens so frequently. It's been going on for at least a couple of years now, or that's how long ago I started noticing it! If you do shop here, just check you are being charged what the label says! Also, be wary of their milk, I've bought it within a few days of it's use by date and it's already gone off, this has happened to me several times now. I'll buy my organic milk elsewhere from now on.

Coconut ginger cookies… so delicious and mouth watering, I will recommend especially to those with gluten and diary allergies

After being a regular customer for many years, I was subjected to some shockingly poor customer service by both floor staff and then by management. This over a Β£2.50 product that became inedible (full of mould) the morning after the use-by date. They still have a good range of products, but I’d rather spend my money elsewhere where they actually value customers.

I love this place!! I live about a minute's walk away and come here for most of my non-produce shopping. It's a fairly small shop, but there is a large variety of healthy organic/vegan/dairy free/gluten free/fair trade/sprouted grain etc etc kinds of things. They have a huge selection of teas and coffees and all of the alternative grains you could want. So many different types of chocolate. Chlorella. Fancy looking soaps and shampoos, an entire wall of nut butters and unique jams! So many meat alternatives! Yeast flakes. The most amazing dried bananas I've ever had. The prices are very reasonable as well, for the kind of specialty items you're getting. I wish there was a store like this everywhere else I live.
