I'm furious with DPD, the delivery company screw fix uses. I ordered a ladder from Bath depot, instead they sent a ladder from Bristol, and online tracker showed that the driver had been delivering other orders in the area 10-15mins walking distance from my flat for about an hour, I was monitoring the update on the page, I even sticked a note on the front door telling him which door bell to ring, but he didn't even bother to drive up to my street(I have security camera to proof and some trademen working on the street confirmed no DPD van coming at all), made some excuses saying he had the wrong address sent by Screwfix so he couldn't find my house, and he just canceled the order without ringing or checking with his depot. The address shows on the screwfix order sheet and on DPD's delivery tracking web page are both exactly correct, no mistake what so ever. I can't understand what he can gain from being dishonest like this, and I tried to contact Screwfix, the gentleman who answered phone was very nice and polite, but his repond was extremely frustrating. I appreciate it's not his fault, but the system has been designed to allow the people who make the mistake hiding away, yet to put these poor polite nice guys on the phone to take the customers frustration, how would this improve the service or benefit the business? Why would anyone care if there is no consequences? Despite the nice message Grace left below, after I made my complaint and require for refund as DPD wouldn't delivery the item I paid for, and several phonecalls and emails following up, I still haven't heard anything. DPD website shows that they have sent the items back to Screwfix at half six in the morning of 13th October, it has been two weeks now, it still shows the item is on its way. And Screwfix said that until item is arrived, they won't be able to refund my money. I don't know if it's DPD yet again not delivering the item, or Screwfix is delaying admitting the returned goods into their system, eitherway, I can't have the item I paid for, and I can't have my money back. Such a great experience.

We went for what we thought was a simple task to buy some LED replacement bulbs. Chris, a deputy manager, was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to find what we needed. Fantastic customer service.
Absolutely exemplary customer service. We spoke to Chris (Duty Manager) whilst struggling to buy replacement bulbs of differing types for my Mum. He was so kind, patient and incredibly helpful. This is a clear example of why good old fashioned face to face communication is still so valued. We went back to buy more and will no doubt be back again.
