Bonnie has been going to Jackie for a number of years now and I know that she's in good hands with Jackie and Robyn. Being a regular client they always get Bonnie looking just the way I have asked her to be groomed,wouldn't go anywhere else.
I have been taking my dogs to Russell’s Dog Grooming for about 9 years now. Jackie and her daughter do a fantastic job of grooming my two dogs and really care for them and know their different personalities. Bonnie has been going since she was a wee puppy and Jackie took time to get to know her before she started to groom her. Happy customer.
I rehomed a beautiful wee Cocker spaniel who had gorgeous long tan and blonde locks but it was quiet knotty and matted in places and he had never been groomed. He was very anxious and scared so was a bit snappy with the girls but they percivered and got him all washed, dried and gave him a nice short hair cut. Because he was so nervous Jac offered him a free fortnightly wash n blow dry X2. After each session he was less nervous and more co-operative. A few months later he was back for his 2nd full groom and was so much more at ease and far less snappy. The girls are so patient with my very nervous dog and they do a fantastic job. My dog comes home smelling amazing and looking very handsome with his new hair cut and super shiny coat. I couldn't recommend them enough they do amazing work with our wee fur babies.
Fantastic experience for both me and the dogs always on time and do exactly as requested is the only Groomer I’ve taken the dogs to that they get excited when they get there. Been going now for five years, well done Jackie and the team
Took a piece of the dog's ear off! No apology. God knows what happens behind the scenes in there. I took my dog there to be cut and this is surgically what happened. She cut a piece of his ear out! I am still furious at what he experienced. What's far worse is the unprofessionalism - the groomer didn't even present a sorry or an apology. Instead, blaming me because the dog was matted. I took my dog to the vet and they mentioned the least the groomer could do is pay the £60 pet fee. I have groomed my dogs so often, and never once drew blood. I most certainly will not be recommending 'Russells' and will take every opportunity to let people know what she did to my dog and what her attitude was. I have just noticed a review on another review site that demonstrates Russells has a routine of maltreating our pets.I grudgingly give one star. No star is deserving. I wish I was allowed to upload the pics of the Dog's ear for owners to see. This place should be shut down. The response from the groomer is absolute lies. The dogs have only been there once. Though matted, which most dogs experience, it is no excuse to cut the skin. Also, I was never told there would potentially be a cut........ If would have not left the dogs. Our Spanish water dog had his first ever cut today. He looks amazing and is really happy. He was matted and they have done an amazing job.
Bonnie after her first ever grooming session today , 3rd photo is the before and the first two after , she looks fab and was treated very well , she had a lot of thick fur and now looks much better but still soft and cuddly . Would definitely recommend Russell’s Sorry wouldn’t let me upload the pics
Absolutely delighted at the care and attention my dog receives at Russell's Pets and Tackle Muirhead. I take my dog in for her haircut every six weeks and have always received fabulous results in her cut. Staff are always very welcoming and very friendly and often bring my dog home for me after her day of pampering. Love the fact I can order her food in bulk and have it delivered for free from the shop also My dog is a very pampered pooch and I would never take her anywhere else.
