There are some good circular walks around through the woods, if combined with the pill footpath at the bottom. Small grotto, pools, yer tiz cycle track, old settlement earthen ramparts. Good parking. Easy walking distance from Clifton. If you park in the A369 lay-by at the western end, you can take in Abbots Pool too.

In inclement weather be careful where you park if not already in walking boots it can be puddled and muddy in places. The coverage is poor for using the parking app but the payment units do tap and go. Down side is you only get choice of an hour or four hours. Nice coffee van open at w/e. Great area for varied surfaces and gradients.

This park offers easy hikes along the Avon River and then meanders into the surrounding naturescape. The initial hike was very easy on flat ground, then we took an upward trail taking us to the top of the gorge bridge. The trail was well maintained and easy to follow. It was a bit strenuous but totally worth the hike!

I've been walking in leigh woods for 40 + years, and it has changed alot in that time, you now have to pay for parking but you can't always get a phone signal, there are no public toilets the nearest being a short drive away at Ashton Court , a lovely woodland walk with different trails to suit all levels

Never made to the wood, to be fair...but did make it the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. What an event! Motorbike display team, police dog (land sharks) going through their paces, model aerobatic aircraft & of course the balloons. I estimate 50 for the Mass Ascent. Incredible!!

Lots of lovely walks/runs/cycles to do and you can get a nice view of the suspension bridge. A few things built in the woods for kids to climb on.

Leigh Woods is a brilliant city mountain biking place, some off pieste bits to find which are pretty awesome to be honest, well maintained and the small tabletop section approx 3/4 of the way round is good for practicing you jumping skills. On the weekend there is normally a coffee trailer there too.

It's not all about the suspension bridge.. some great walking in woods and along the river, surprised at area covered, can get busy, and who's idea was it to add pay for parking here! I mean choose how long your going to be £1 an hour, madness. Enjoy.

Love these woods for walking the dogs, I used to come here a lot and recently visited again yesterday. Parking is £2 unless you are a member of the Trust, but long lovely beautiful walks and lots of wonderful nature. Lots of families come for the day with the kids and lots of great bike trails here too

Great place for the kids to run around and let off some steam, or for the opposite a peaceful walk the woods. This place is massive and has lots of parking. You can choose to stick to the path or go off track through the trees like we did. Saw a few trails for mountain bikes too. Seemed to be a favourite with dog walkers.
