Lovely views, well located. City centre only 1 mile away, but a very long steep hill to climb backup. Advise to park at park & ride only 5 minutes away. Hotel very dated & needs a lot of tlc. Beds very comfortable, yea making facilities. Evening meal was lovely.

We were really impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff — they were the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell far below expectations, especially considering we paid almost £300 per night. Our room was extremely cold, and there was no proper heating. Instead, we were given plug-in radiators, which didn’t warm the space effectively. The bathroom was also cold and not in good condition, making it quite uncomfortable to use. We had specifically requested a garden-view room, but instead we were given a room overlooking a dirty wall. For the price we paid, this felt very disappointing. On top of that, there was no still water provided — only tap water — which again didn’t reflect the standard we expected. The room’s condition was also unacceptable: the bed sheets had holes, which is something you simply do not expect at this price point. Breakfast was poor, with very limited options, and certainly not worth the additional cost. Finally, we were asked to pay for parking despite the hotel advertising parking on the premises as included, which felt misleading. Overall, while the staff were wonderful, the accommodation and amenities did not reflect value for money. We left feeling quite let down and would not choose to stay here again unless significant improvements are made.

Lovely hotel with paid parking or park & ride, excellent breakfast and dinner served. Nice room with patio which could do with a gardener. Very hot water, need cold to lower the temperature. Shower big enough for two if partner is willing.

Cosy, traditional British hotel. All tourist attractions are within walking distance. It has its own car park, though. You'll be surprised how nice the hotel is maintained. Rooms?... um... size just about right, clean, well furnished, no complain. Highly recommend it.

First time of staying here, was absolutely spot on, from checking in to checking out. Already booked again, was so impressed! There is a lift to the floors but also a few stairs too, although I was told and offered help. My room was just perfect. Very clean and comfy, bed was a delight. Lovely toiletries. Plenty of tea/coffee/milk etc. There was a fridge, what a bonus. I didn’t struggle with parking, yes £15 per 24hrs but it is what it is, I’ve paid lots more in Bath and it was a fair distance to walk to my accommodation. I personally didn’t sample any food. A great place to stay - highly recommend. Thank you to all concerned for making my stay so memorable

Lovely hotel close to the city center. We liked the hotel's decor and found the room very comfortable. The shower was good and there were tea and coffee facilities, biscuits and water. The staff were very helpful and friendly in both the reception area and at breakfast. There was a good selection at breakfast and the food was fresh and delicious. We would definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again.

Fantastic gem of a hotel. Excellent service and polite friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Great personal service We booked room with a terrace which was really quiet and beautiful with table and chairs outside on the patio. Room spotless clean. Great car parking at front and back. Lovely Georgian building. 10mins Walking distance to Bath closer to Crescent , bit of a hill coming back we walked but it is extremely steep but bus and taxi are plentiful

We had a lovely two night stay. Rooms were very comfortable and excellent hygiene with all amenities. The food was amazing, served piping hot and fresh, overall tasted fab! A big shout out to hotel management and all the staff! Very very kind, helpful, extremely professional and very attentive. I will definitely be visiting Bath again and will return to this hotel for sure!

After 2 emails with no reply from anyone sadly I will write a review. Had to change rooms when we arrived as the small room we were accommodated was way too hot and the fan was broken. Kindly upgraded us to a different room however we had even more problems. Shower in the new room didn’t work, when reporting it they said there is nothing they can do until Monday (we stayed on a Saturday night) so we were unable to even have a shower which is ridiculous. They couldn’t provide us with other washing facilities even in the previous room. The room was incredibly hot and they were unable to provide us with an extra fan - we were told again there is nothing they can do. Went down to reception at 4.30am to get help with the heat as we couldn’t sleep - no one was on reception even after waiting down there for 40 minutes and ringing the phones. Finally found someone 2 hours later who couldn’t help with anything and was most unhelpful. Room was really dusty on all the picture frames, mirrors etc. Paid £230 for one night and left utterly disappointed. Expect at the least a decent shower and sleep for that price. I was going to leave a 2 star review but seeings as I’ve been totally ignored by everyone 1 is the only option. Lovely location and very nice looking hotel but hugely disappointed by our stay and even further disappointed by the complete lack of acknowledgment.

A great hotel, good staff and excellent restaurant. Fantastic attention to detail from the kitchen and restaurant staff, they dealt with my allergy requirements effortlessly and I had a lovely meal. There are lots of steps internally so it is definitely worth telling the hotel if you have a mobility impairment. Taxi's to the centre cost around £8. A great stay, i would definitely return. Thank you
