Genuinely, imagine being 20 away from your family and friends in a strange city and you arrive to what looks like a nice hotel UNTIL the server at the desk doesnβt make eye contact with you and sends you down a floor. You wind your way to the very last room at the basement level. Which was spooky enough, the door did not have a proper lock on it beyond the key lock and left you feeling on edge as it would have been very easy to break the door down. On entry the room STINKS of musk and rotten food. You look out the window to see rotting trash hanging on a safety net - a milk carton looks red with the mold it holds. Then you look down to see a mysterious brown stain on the carpet, is it tea? Vomit? The bed looks clean enough but the headboard has a mysterious dripping substance that youβd rather forget about. The tiny heater was NOT enough to warm damp basement room and there was only one blanket so you were left shivering all night. The entire night was filled with the sounds of piping going off. So all in all pretty much the worst nights sleep Iβve had to date.

Location for Christmas Market excellent, but the hotel is minimalist even for a Travelodge. The most expensive and worst I have stayed in. Staff were polite, but rooms small, not the cleanest, shower had mould, bath was small, shampoo/shower wash was empty and no cooked breakfast, bar, restaurant or anything. But location fantastic, right in the centre. For our visit it was perfect, but at over Β£200 for one night I expected so much more.

Not the usual standard of Travelodge! Booked 2 rooms, but when we arrived only 1 was available. We were offered another room in other hotel and taxi. But splitting everyone up and then taxi there a back after a 4 hour drive was suitable. We ended with 5 in 1 room. Which was ideal but the easiest solution. The room next to ours had a smoker who clearly didnβt care about the no smoking policy. Our room was full of the smell and it was on our clothes then next day. We made the best of a bad situation, but Travelodge really let themselves down here

It is in a really old building, and my room overlooked the busy main road, and the windows have zero sound insulation. I am not exaggerating to say I could hear EVERYTHING going on outside as if the window was wide open- constant traffic noise, constant beeping of the pelican crossing, people walking past and then later at night rowdy people in the street. One of the worst nights sleep I have ever had. I assumed travelodges were all of a certain standard but I now realise that is not the case. The bathroom needed ripping out and refitting- it was worn, dated and rusty and the water pressure in the shower was horrendous. I paid Β£100 for the room, and this was one of the cheapest places I could find in Bath and now I understand why but I feel this is an absolute rip off. Also no Hairdryer and no free WiFi (only free for 30mins) which I assumed were just a given these days. Also the window was open when i arrived in the evening so the room was freezing cold. USB ports stopped working after a certain time period/when the lights were off so cant charge anything by the bed overnight. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Rooms are quite unclean, with dirty carpet. You can tell they are deep cleaned once per year. The bathroom was quite underwhelming, with small shower, broken soap dispenser and water leaking out of the tub even while using a shower curtain. Mostly the location makes it impossible to have a good night sleep as thereβs bar on the street below and people are so loud especially during the weekend. Not worth the money.

Wishing not to sound like a boring old boy- but the western portion of the hotel is directly above a nightclub which really is not sound-proofed. We were therefore kept up until 4am by the loud music through the walls/floorboards. Fine if you're staying to go out or party yourself (can't fault location or distance into town) but if you're a tourist or family I'd avoid staying here (club opening hours 10-4 Wednesday-Saturday FYI).

So, I booked here as it was cheap and didn't think much of it. Checked in fine, room was clean. The room is big so the heater doesn't really heat the room very well, as for the wifi don't pay for it as it won't reach or just wont connect. The main problem is the club, you hear it so well and it keeps you up all night. Then you have all the screaming from people leaving the club as well the "sound proofing" is shocking

Stayed here mid January 2023. The toilet was broken when I walked in, the window wouldn't close fully , and it was -2 outside . Even with the mini radiator in the room the room would never get warm the bed was so far away. I changed rooms due to the broken toilet but that was at least half an hour waiting for someone to come back to reception and then the next room was just as cold and not clean (stains) but it was already 1 am and I needed to get some hours of sleep before work. I didn't manage much it was so cold.

Perfect location after a day of touring Bath and the Roman Baths. Prices affordable and family rooms available. Close to some great restaurants and pubs for a meal or cocktail. Paid Parking is only about a 10 minute walk and offers 24 hours parking at very affordable rates. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that we were staying for one night - our fault not theirs. we know for future - stay longer. Loved it

Overall we had a good stay for reasonable price. The room was big and clean, with clean sheets and towels. We got the room at the back so the noise from the club wasnβt a problem (you should ask for that). In the room there is a kettle and tea set but there is no fridge or hair dryer. There is also modern heater that was needed as there are double windows BUT the old part of the window was constantly open. Sometimes there was no warm water
