What a shame the Sunday dinners have changed, they were superb and we had been several times. This Sunday we turn up and waited 3/4hour with no warning of waiting time & no apology. The beef was so tough we couldn't cut it and mine had the chunks left from the joint, which had more fat than meat. I had one carrot & 2 small pieces of broccoli, others had more so portion control out the window! Why it changed from veg and even cauliflower cheese etc coming out separately I don't know? A real disappointment all round, such a shame. I know prices have gone up but that doesn't mean quality should go down, it was a real disappointment sadly.

Lovely spacious room! Great value! All the booking confirmations, stated a check out time of 11am... However on arrival (and signposted in the actual room) stated 10am. Little bit gutted about that. Especially with a late night, could have really done with the extra hour in bed. It got our hopes up, for a later start to a Sunday, only for it to be shot down when arriving. Plenty of parking! Easy to find. Beds are comfortable, and that's something I usually struggle with! My only suggestion for the twin rooms, are to have 2 chairs in the room if possible. Having just one, seems a bit odd. Especially if you want to sit and eat at the desk/table etc. There is plenty of space in the room for a second chair. So hopefully it's something we will see in the future. As we would love to stay again when the opportunity arises!

If I could give it no stars I would, incredibly rude staff. Myself and others went here for food and drinks and the staff threw the menus at us, told us if we wanted food we had 15mins to order. Walked off and shook their heads at us. Just general poor service and a attitude problem. We refused to spend money here on food due to this behaviour so walked out and went down the road. Poor. Lost out on a few hundreds of pounds of earnings due to their attitude alone.

Yesterday, Sunday 10/08/25, we booked a table for 7 for Sunday family Birthday lunch. Abby and the Swan Inn team were so friendly and accomodating. The Roasts were great, 6 large roasts dinners and one GF Roast for our eldest son. Drinks served at just the right times and the serving staff checking on our requirements. We had our 7 week old Grandson with us and the staff were excellent in their attentive care and we all enjoyed very good deserts afterwards. We are now regulars to The Swan Inn and highly recommend it for family and friends meals. Thanks, The Davey and Lawrence families.

We really like the swan, the staff are always brilliant. The food is good quality and hard to fault especially for the price. The only negative is the lager, How can a lager that smells that bad be served, then replaced (gratefully) then served to someone else minutes later knowing how bad it is? This has happened over and over the last 7 months & beyond of coming to the swan. If this was sorted out the pub would be faultless. Seems pretty basic. Still recommend but maybe order bottled beer.

I have only visited here for food and drink. Food excellent, and good variety of beers on tap, bottles. A personal favourite place now for many years. Staff are always friendly and fun. Highly recommend for dinner, or just a social drink.

Lovely old building, a bit tricky to get to from the south, but lovely and welcoming. The food was very good and reasonably priced, the staff were very friendly, and there was plenty of room in the car park. I visited my friend who was staying there, so can't really comment on the rooms

Lovely food, drinks and efficient and friendly staff. James served us our drinks and food. Everything was timed well. My only moan is about the car park which has no designated blue badge spaces. Luckily I was able to get in the last space near to the back door. I was told the car park is being re-done in February so hopefully some blue badge spaces will be included.

Nice hotel. Friendly, good vibe. Food in the evening was great. Breakfast was OK, could be better. Room was comfortable, but they are small. Comfy bed. Good shower. All in all, would recommend.

We booked a section of the pub area for our car club event. The staff was super friendly and helpful and fast with the serving. Selection of beverages was great. Table service was also mega when we ate before the actual meeting - food was excellent as well.
