This hotel is very tired and could do with refurbishment. Our room was just about clean, although the bedding was fresh. The kettle was grimy and calcified which was not pleasant. I dont use travel lodge as a rule but I had limited choice at the time. The staff were friendly but I wouldn't recommend staying in this particular location.

My recent stay was unfortunately very disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. The issues began before I even walked through the door. The car park was covered in rubbish, and the main entrance was crowded with a group of people smoking, which shockingly included hotel staff. This created a very unwelcoming and unprofessional first impression. Inside, things did not improve. The hallway leading to my room had a terrible, persistent smell, and the carpets were visibly filthy and in desperate need of a deep clean. Once in the room, I discovered that the basic amenities were neglected, with all the soap dispensers left completely empty. The most significant issue, however, was the excessive road noise. It was so loud that I had to double-check if the windows had been left open – they hadn't. The only positive aspect of my entire stay was that the bed was genuinely comfortable. However, a comfortable bed simply cannot make up for the complete lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and unprofessional atmosphere. I will not be returning.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel like this. No soap/ No shower cream was provided, and almost everything in the bathroom was broken. We booked for two nights and requested fresh towels and toiletries for the second night when we went out, but nothing was replaced or topped up. I understand it’s a budget hotel, but we weren’t asking for luxury β€” just the basic amenities they advertised. Really disappointing and not worth the money.

The location is the ONLY good thing about this hotel. Nasty smell throughout. Old tired rooms. No breakfast (except in a box). Uncomfortable beds. Cheap shampoo/bodywash products. Highly recommend Miller and Carter restaurant next door. EV charging station in the car park.

It's a room to get your head down, that's the fairest way to review. Dated, bit grubby but not minging. No onside restaurant or bar so other than a vending machine in the entrance that's your lot. Mollies next door do good food and there's a pub over the road too.

We really just needed a place to sleep so can't complain. though I think the provision within the room has decreased since last year. Tea/coffee wasn't replenished. No glasses provided. I know we could have be asked but we only returned each evening and left early mornings so didn't want to waste time waiting. Friendly staff and generally clean hotel

I used to stay for 2 weeks due to house move with my wife and my little son. Very quiet location, good transport bus lines, for those who drives is literally 1 min from M5 motorway. Rooms are kept good condition and clean. Seen housekeepers working hard! Couldn't catch one of the receptionist yang girl name but she was very helpful and always smiling to my little son, she helped us to book a taxi with recomendation! Nice hotel overall, I would recommend and would stay there again! Thank you very much!

Stayed here on business and only for one night. For the price it was ok, room was clean and check in/out was easy, no drama's. Basically this is bed only, no breakfast offered so far as I can tell but that was as expected. There is a pub/restaurant next door and an american type dinner a short walk away. It's on a fairly busy road so some traffic noise but not too bad. All I would say is its a bit dated but does the job.

Tired but with a comfortable bed and good shower this was by far the cheapest (non dodgy) hotel in the area (on a seemingly busy and otehrwise extortionate week). It definitely needs a refurbishment but the bed was far more comfortable than lots of "superior" chains I have stayed in recently and the shower was powerful and warm. I probably wouldn't bring my family to stay here but it is convenient and bizarrely next to a Miller & Carter steakhouse and close to other restaurants. Breakfast was supposed to be included in my booking, when I looked more closely it was a Breakfast bag. I'd eaten late so didn't ask for it but I'd probably recommend going elsewhere anyway.

Stayed here a few years ago so thought I would come back, but disappointed in the room. Room didn't look like it had been hovered since the old King died. The rooms could do with a good upgrade I nearly scalded my hands with the hot water tap, there was no sign to say caution very hot water. We had a fan in the room which was nice to have because it was warm in room but the blades on fan were thick of dust. Staff really nice can't fault them but the owners need too refurbish the building.
