The rooms are above a busy pub, but not noise filtered up as far as our room. Rooms were up flights of stairs, so could be difficult if you're not fully mobile. We didn't mind. Room was clean, tidy and well equipped. We prepaid for breakfast, which was very tasty and well cooked. Hotel staff only seem to be available during pub hours, so they can't accommodate late check in. But we were given a full set of keys so we could come and go as we please. Lovely hotel, and would definitely recommend.

When we arrived our 3 rooms had been given to someone else my mistake, we were asked to wait in the restaurant while they moved the other guests out and replaced all the linen, we were all given a complimentary drink which was nice. Unfortunately the rooms weren’t so great, our room was extremely dated, sofa was filthy with ground in dirt carpet was the same. Light fittings and 4 poster bed had 1cm of old dust on them, shower covered in mould, but bed was clean. The other 2 rooms were just ok, it looks like they have given it a lick of paint recently just a shame they have just painted over the existing wallpaper and boarder

Recently refurbished and really rather nice now. Burgers were excellent. Probably the best I've had anywhere in quite a while. Everything else was first class too. Great service. They make everything fresh to order, but when it arrives it's definitely worth the wait. Very, very impressed. We'll be back!

This a is a hotel that is a good option if you don’t want the high prices of Bath. It is 16 minutes from the Avon Parking Lot in Bath. It is an old building that is currently going under some renovations, so has a lot of potential. My room was large with a huge window overlooking the main road which in truth originally worried me, however after 9:30 ish everything went quiet. I slept really well with the curtains closed and the window open. The shower was spacious, quite powerful, perfect. I also had breakfast and Sunday dinner @TheMinersRest, which is the restaurant attached to the hotel. #samantha the chef was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The other staff I need to mention is Martin, the sassy manager who enjoys a bit of banter. In truth all the staff were extremely friendly and made a point of saying hi and engaging for a few minutes. And it’s a #SconeAsInGone establishment. I also visited the museum over the road which opens after 2:00. Well worth a visit! Thanks for a great stay!!

Don’t be fooled by the outside of the building inside is lovely, fresh and clean and a warm welcome. We had breakfast and coffee here and the food was hot fresh and tasted good! The owner couldn’t do enough for us and the waitress Kelsey was so polite, friendly and quick with service. Would highly recommend to family’s and locals to give this place a try.

Had a fun drink in here after work on Friday. Great fun atmosphere. Locals obviously absolutely love it. Made to feel very welcome and very enjoyable. Loved the Game of Thrones Dragon chair as well!

Lovely little hotel and bar, lovely staff and they don't do food but they allow you to bring in your own....so we took in a kebab and Sarah the bar person got us plates, knives and forks and got rid of our rubbish. Prices were good and the town its in has plenty going on. Walks along the canal and we had breakfast in the community centre which was a little overpriced but friendly, they also have a collection of shops and a museum.

The room, can't fault. Roomy, warm, comfortable, well equipped, has personality, clean. Would 100% reccomend it. Great parking. Good location to get about. The 3 star, no food that day as prepping for the next day? The whole day... The following morning checking out, pubs shut? I'd stay again though.

The owners were very welcoming, going the extra mile. Arrived late from London, no taxi available for next day but owner drove me to the hospital. Amazing !!

A quiet, well situated establishment. I had a comfortable room but the bathroom was a bit cramped. The food and service was very good and a wide variety of drinks were available at the bar. Prices are good.
