One of the best B and Bs I have ever stayed in. The room, the bed, the bathroom, the breakfast, the owner...all were superb.

I booked a room at Avon View when circumstances led to me being stranded in Portishead for the night - and what an amazing room it turned out to be! I was given the family room, which was very spacious and just for £50 for one night, with an en suite bathroom with bath, overhead shower and various full-size toiletries. It had a stunning view of the Channel. Kate, the owner, brought me up a homemade shortbread biscuit and lovely pot of tea when I arrived and even found me a hot water bottle. There were Pukka herbal teas and homemade jams and marmalade for breakfast. And in a beautiful Georgian house.
Absolutely superb,quite old fashioned but clean and we'll appointed,good breakfast.
Friendly owners, great rooms and a lovely breakfast.
