Hunter lodges are spacious and got everything you need and more .. hot tub and sauna for relaxing and a chauffeur on call to drive you around the grounds .. food and cocktails in the restaurant’s amazing . Only downfall was checking out at 10am which seems early as you couldn’t check in until 4 pm .

Team We have just spent a week at Lodge 8 - Fat Duck, we have stayed there several times before and would like to stay again. Through our recommendation, several of our family and friends have booked and stayed at a lodge. I think it would be useful to give you our observations in the hope that the maintenance and housekeeping can be improved. Before even entering the property we noticed cobwebs and dirt around the front door, not a good start! Our heating would not work properly, not exceeding 19 degrees for the first 48 hrs and the weather was cold. Shawn the maintenance man tried his best to improve the situation, even organising some logs for the fire which he lit to try to increase the temperature. He managed to fix the problem after 48 hrs but when we checked out, I was asked for £20 to cover the logs, which was withdrawn when I explained the situation! We left an unused basket of logs in the lodge. There were insufficient plates and table mats for our party of 10 who arrived at the weekend and the dishwasher bottom tray is still missing wheels (after 3 years) making it difficult to load and the large wine glasses were dirty. The toilet flush in the bedroom on the right when entering, still runs after operation and only stops when re-flushing several times, as reported to you last year. The gutters leak in places and the exterior stain needs reapplying . We do want to stay again but please take steps to improve your maintenance and housekeeping regime to fully satisfy your paying guests. We have been advised several times that the lodges have been refurbished but the only visible evidence was a different microwave and fridge, the kitchen cupboard doors still do not close properly. We’ve only had 1 visit when we haven’t encountered problems and always wonder if the faults have been remedied. Despite these issues, we really enjoy staying in this very spacious lodge in lovely surroundings

We stayed at lodge 6 and it was superb. The hot tub was a big favourite for the family, and the sauna upstairs too. The kitchen facilities were really good too. The concierge was always available, and the shuttle bus drivers were polite, friendly and lovely. Things to improve: there needs to be recycling bin options - in this day and age that should be standard. Pillows in the rooms were not great - very thin. The water pressure in the upstairs room was not great. It was also a shame no board games were provided for a family lodge. Despite that, the lodge was in fantastic condition, the views the great, and there was lots of room for all 8 of us.

Stayed in one of the Hunter Lodges which provided excellent views over the golf course and valley. The lodge itself is getting a bit tired and shabby now now and needs to be rennervated to match the price. The dishwasher did not work when we arrived and had to be replaced. The spot lights in the kitchen and the main phone did not work and the cooker constantly tripped the LCD, which meant we had to call out the maintenance team every day....The maintenance team were excellent though.

Lovely lodges, very clean and modern. Would definitely recommend to families l. We found swimming at Dylan’s easier from here as no need to pay to park.

The barn was so clean, well presented and lots of space for everyone with a lovely view over the golf course.

Beautiful lodges in a stunning location. Perfect for big groups so you can split the cost. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was because of their shuttle service. We pre booked one to pick us up and it never arrived. After chasing it 3 times and after after waiting nearly an hour it still didn't arrive. This was all despite them saying they were on their way.

We've begun to look into more UK staycations since the whole covid situation. My sister lives in Wales and has always raved about Celtic Manor; now that I'm here with family, I agree. It's like a second home. Beautiful setting with breathtaking views. The lodge has a fantastic kitchen, an open floor plan, and lovely, spotless bedrooms. The hot tub is an excellent addition to the lodges. There is a lot to do at the hotel resort. I highly recommend this establishment.

Great location and staff were excellent. There were a number of snags on the acommodation that could be improved to match the quality of the hotel
