Wow what a place stayed one night but definitely will be back. The service was wonderful and friendly especially the barman that enjoyed our chat about football. The bar food was standard bar food. Stunning hotel in stunning location but takes a little finding.

Room was basic but clean and no problems, walls quite thin so take earplugs. The view from our room was an embankment with bits of rubbish on my it which was one downside, also no fridge in room which would have been nice. Old part of the hotel is a lovely characterful building. Breakfast was great, lovely decorations for Christmas. Leisure facilities good, pool nice and quiet when we visited. Sauna and steam room slightly odd layout next to the gym rather than the pool. Staff were helpful during our stay. Cannot attest to the restaurant other than breakfast as we ate outside the hotel for lunch/dinner. Loads of nice pubs nearby. Views from the bar/ most of the hotel are amazing- on a clear day!

This is the 2nd year myself and family have stayed here, and again we have had an amazing time. Staff lovely and really helpful, room, food and price. Infact, we are already going to book again. Lovely location with amazing views.

This place is great quality for the price. The restaurant has good food and a nice selection of drinks, and the breakfast is satisfactory. The room had all the necessary amenities. It was close enough to towns for convenience and activities but also in a quiet location with great views. The grounds are beautiful. The spa is a bonus. The staff were very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!

Staff are so friendly and helpful, hotel has a very welcoming feeling because of this. Pool was lovely, steam room great. Separation from both with the gym isn't ideal, but isn't too bad. Hotel was clean and comfortable too. Bar food was good as well.

This hotel seems to be in the middle of no where nothing seems to be in any sort of walking distance, but a great view if you get there on a sunset. Rooms "very basic' and very dated, tired and small, seems to be a very small kettle with the usual coffee tea sugar, walls paper thin can hear your neighbours talking or TV word for word, enjoyable hike to my room some great period corridors twists and turns and plenty of stairs across an outside courtyard and onwards and upwards to the second floor, yes more stairs Restaurant basic 5 main meals available but you get the option to have the bar menu and that's what it basically is bar food

Really nice gym and pool in a beautiful location. The staff here are lovely and always remember my name. Can get busy with families when children are off school, so if you want to swim laps book an adult swim. A very relaxed vibe otherwise and would definitely recommend

We have visited this hotel a number of times now. Each time we go back, we expect it to have had a facelift. But no! The decor is tired, it needs a good refit. Our wet room needed a good deep clean. The grouting around the edges, showed signs of age. The room itself was clean, although the carpet would benefit greatly from a clean. There was quite a bit of noise, from the rooms, hallways upstairs. But nothing to make a complaint about. The food is good and the service staff are, friendly and obliging. It has a gym, swimming pool and a spa. So looks after your health, as well as your foodie wants. It is a little off the beaten track. But the peace, quiet and views are worth it.

It's a cheap and cheerful Edwardian hotel with lots of amenities. The dinner menu is very limited and some things are way overpriced. The garlic bread was tiny but the price was high. It wasn't worth £1 although we paid £3.50 for it. For a better choice of meals, Weston-Super-Mare was the go-to place on the second day. The breakfast was good and value for money. A great start to the day. The location is superb although the M5 can be heard from the balcony. I will return in the future though. It's a lovely friendly place.
