   We came across this charming little Lodge by chance whilst commuting back to Manchester and decided to stop for breakfast. The Lodge is set in a quiet but idelic location slightly off the beaten path. Reece, our server, was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We each ordered a big breakfast, which was delicious. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely consider staying here.

   The food was amazing. Difficult to find any aspect to critique. We had Sunday lunch. The food was so good we went back the next weekend. Tasted delightful with great presentation. Service was exceptional. Lovely attentive staff.

   Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch of a duo of beef served with cauliflower cheese, peas broccoli and swede, followed by crumble and custard. Excellent value for 2 courses. We were served by the lovely and friendly Charlotte. Hope to return soon.

   My daughter and I went for lunch at the Bistro on Saturday and had the 3 course set menu. The food was absolutely delicious, best lunch I have had in a while. The service from Jade was amazing. I would highly recommend and can't wait to go back to try the dinner menu.

   We had a beautiful tapas meal at The Lodge tonight. Pickled Pumpkin has created a selection of wonderful dishes with local ingredients. The samphire and laverbread bajis, oxtail tacos and patatas bravas were particularly great. The team that work there are fab, friendly and so helpful. Also a good choice of local beers. Can't wait to go back. We haven't stayed at the lodge but have seen the rooms on an open day and they are completed to a high standard. Beautiful, quiet location.

   We went to the new Thursdays' Tapas Night at the Lodge by Cefn Tilla (formerly The Rat Trap), Usk in the week. Food prepared by the new Spanish chef is top quality. Highly recommended!
