I attended a free hands-on science exhibition with my 4 and 6 year old at the weekend, and it was brilliant. It kept us all entertained for a few hours on an Autumn afternoon. It was very well organised with 3 rooms full of science stations, each one offering an experiment, craft activity or demonstration, and all the volunteers were great, very knowledgable, enthusiastic and engaging with the children. What a great event- thank you!

Whilst the exhibit itself is excellent and informative, Iβd like to give a special shoutout to Chris who gave additional information and discussion about the history of the building and surrounding area with much enthusiasm. It is always great to hear people speak passionately about a subject and Chris is exactly that. Also, it houses a 4.1 billion year old meteor fragment for a healthy dose of existential wonder.

I've just hosted a 3 day corporate meeting at the BRLSI. Everyone loved the venue. The beautiful high ceiling and huge windows make for a very pleasant environment in which to work. The screen worked well and unusually the HDMI cable was set up sensibly (which I wish was true of all meeting rooms). Oh, and we had a dinosaur skeleton on the wall, how cool is that! We'll definitely be back!

A lovely Free exhibition on minerals. There was a kids sections for them to play: painting rocks, or following along the video on how to stack rocks.

I'm sure it would be a better experience if they had an exhibition on, however the reception lady was incredibly helpful and for this reason I've given 3 stars.

We had a full day event here (20 people), excellent location, parking is close by. The staff couldn't help enough and all the equipment worked first time. Great spot for a meeting in Bath

Good place to hold a meeting but can get hot in the summer. Talks are very good tooif they overlap with your specialist interest.

Really interesting exhibitions based on the overall collection, worth popping in just for those every time they swap over.

The BRLSI holds a fascinating museum, library, and archive collection, made available to the public through annual thematic exhibitions and to researchers through innovative partnerships and projects. The also offers a diverse and inspirational programme of public lectures, often given by world renowned speakers and covering every aspect of science, art, and philosophy.
