Another highlight of Bath, these awesome Georgian townhouses. My girlfriend and I was visiting Bath for a couple of days.

Right in the heart of the city of Bath lies this historical landmark circus with a ring of townhouses, divided into three equal segments. These stunningly beautiful townhouses reflect classic Georgisn architecture of mid 18th century. We walked down to The Circus from Royal Crescent, just a short distance. From The Circus, we enjoyed our walk back to the city, to the Pulteney Bridge to be exact, again a few minutes comfortable walk.

The Circus is a stunning example of Georgian architecture and a must-see when visiting Bath. The circular arrangement of the elegant townhouses, with intricate details and historic charm, is truly impressive. It’s quieter than the nearby Royal Crescent, making it a peaceful place to stroll and admire the design. A great stop for architecture lovers, photographers, or anyone who enjoys discovering beautiful corners of the city.

Another UNESCO World Heritage site, though it may not leave everyone in awe. I’ll admit, there’s not much to do here beyond appreciating the architecture. The Circus is a beautiful example of Georgian design, with a circular arrangement of townhouses that form a ring around a central green space. What makes it particularly fascinating is its Roman-inspired design. The three - tiered facades feature classical columns, and the layout is shaped like a “circus” - the Roman term for a circular arena.

Beautiful area, that’s well worth a visit! Lovely Georgian townhouses that look amazing. Once you’ve had a look (or sat in the middle under the massive trees), it’s only a 10 minute walk to the Royal Crescent where you can relax in the open park.

If you are looking for classic Georgian architecture then yes. If you are looking for a moment / flash of Jane Austen era then yes. If you are admiring Baths general splendour then yes. But if you are looking to be blown away by this circus then no it’s somewhat underwhelming. But! Together with the rest of Bath it’s a wonderful visit!

Another part of bath that never fails to impress. This place is well worth a visit it's very enjoyable to walk around. The buildings are impressive and I like how with the big trees in the centre everything looks like it was there to fit around eachother.
