    Laura Place Fountain, right in the middle of a roundabout at Great Pulteney Street and Henrietta Street, is a charming spot in Bath. Built in 1877 to celebrate the Bath and West of England Society, it was meant to be a grand column but was changed into a fountain. The design is simple but elegant, with a square basin and a central pedestal topped with a lead ball. Over the years, it’s faced some damage, especially from traffic, but it's been restored a few times. Despite being in the middle of a busy roundabout, it still manages to be a peaceful little corner where you can take in some of Bath’s beautiful Georgian architecture. It’s a nice place to stop for a moment of calm in the city.

    Lovely fountain with views down to the Holbourne museum and lovely period architecture either side and Bath centre and it’s lovely tea houses to the other side.

    I rarely get to see this working I don't get around that area much and when I do it's empty or being repaired so when I visited today as I had time to waste before having to go elsewhere I finally got to see it working again. I really enjoyed this but would like it more if there was a pavement around it allowing people to see it up close safely instead of being on the road. The location is great and it's nice to walk and drive around and makes for some good photos.

    This stone Fountain is situated in the centre of the intersection of four roads at Laura Place. It is a short walk down Argyle Street from Pulteney Bridge.

    The fountain is a beautiful feature of Georgian Pulteney Street and looks wonderful when playing. Situated in Laura Place named after one of Pulteney''s daughters, like Henrietta Street, it enhances the elegant street and provides a focal point.

    Fantastic wide street with this historic fountain. On this occasion in winter no water was flowing. But that didn't bother me as it was very foggy and gave that old world atmosphere.

    It was built by the the committee of the The Royal Bath and West of England society founded in 1777. a horse through, Bath was notoriously short of such facilities..this was back in the days when the agricultural show was was held in Alexander park at the top of Beechen cliff. Originally the water came from Bathwick hill, which was part of the original fresh water supply for great Pulteney street. The original spout of the fountain was several feet higher...
