Walked the Camel Trail in Cornwall, the distances and walking surfaces make this an easier walk for beginners or less mobile. The trail is easy to follow and would be difficult to get lost. Having done several walks with Contours before over the last 15 years their standards have stayed consistently high. The accommodation was some of the best we have stayed in, taxi transfer to start of trail and luggage transfers were all excellent.

The total cost of our 8-night holiday was £2240, i.e. £280 per night. The room invoices we saw ranged from £80/night to £110/night. The hotels were 1-2star quality at most. I had assumed they would book nice hotels for us to stay at but they didn't. As for anything else they might have contributed, I can follow a well-signed national footpath and order taxis myself. They did give us a L140 refund but that's less than 1% of the holiday cost. I would never book with them again.

Contours provided a seamless experience of walking the Cumbria Way. The luggage moving was perfect and the sleeping places were all delightful. The walk is a bit tougher than I had imagined, but I loved it nonetheless. I highly recommend this walk for those who are fit and have some long-distance walking experience. Be sure to wear boots; much of the Way is very rocky.

My wife and I were on holiday from the US. We used Contours to arrange a Yorkshire Dales Way walk. All of the arrangements were done perfectly - Lodging and luggage transfer. The lodging varied from somewhat luxurious, to very rustic based on where we were, but all were good. The scenery on the Dales Way is excellent. The provided itinerary, guidebook (the Terry Marsh book), and Ordinance maps were all very useful. I wish the weather had been a bit more co-operative, but no-one can control that! I would definitely recommend Contours - they provide an excellent product.

We chose the Highlights of Hadrian's Wall walk and it was great. Good customer service before and during. Excellent accomodation. Thorough instructions. Transfers all smooth. We will book with Contours again when our legs recover from the hills.

Walked the Hadrian's Wall Path with the help of Contours in June and had a great time. The staff helped with some special requests and alterations, as well as providing good advice and detailed trip notes for each day. It was a great mix of accommodation, including B&Bs, inns and pubs, and each one was a little oasis after often long but spectacular days of walking. All hosts were warm, friendly and helpful. Would absolutely go with Contours again.

We would like to thank the Contours Team and their industry partners (Luggage Transfers, Taxi Firms & B&B/Hoteliers) for helping us complete another 91+ miles of the SWCP (South Devon & Torbay). Everything went like clockwork and we appreciated the attention to detail that made the trip so memorable. We especially liked the call from Ben before the holiday, offering advice (which we took) about the Noss Mayo circuit and during the holiday to discuss one of our taxi transfers. If everything goes to plan, in these uncertain terms we will be using Contours again to plan the last 115 miles of our SWCP odyssey.

Just finished The Hadrian's Wall Path. It was a marvellous experience, so well organised by Contours, I really have to congratulate them. The itinerary was beautifully set out, full of information and helpful hints and the directions could not be faulted. The B&Bs were perfectly organised and all excellent, the baggage carriers were always on time and there were no problems. I would have no hesitation in recommending Contours to anyone and I cannot wait to take another of their tours.

We did the two week walk of the North Downs Way in September, 2009 - a retirement treat for me. The walk was wonderful, beautiful and historic. We met lovely people almost every day. We saw narrow boats, churches, Rochester Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, countless churches, fields, orchards, villages.... And we ate amazingly well - and after 10+ miles most days, we could fully indulge. The arrangements all worked perfectly, so all we had was ourselves, our map, and a little light backpack with the day's extras. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Used them to do trip through Lakes district and separately to do the coast to coast trip across the UK. Both trips were superb. Great accomodation, flawless logistics and good itinerary. Am about to book my next trip with them when saw the invitation to rate them on google.
