   The store is great, nice produce and size. The staff are friendly but had to verify that the three notes I handed over totalled 45 quid. Then had to move to the cash till. This was after waiting for several minutes for them to find a form to fill in to buy a knife. They didn't have any so we left the product. The queue behind looked thrilled.

   Absolute shocker! Bought a pair of water proof boots 2 days ago walked in them once and they leaked. Tried to take them back to be told they have to test them by filling the boots with water if they don’t leak from inside to out you can’t have a refund. “ Also you have been wearing them to walk your dog that’s not what they are for “. 1 hour later having shared the detail from the trading standards website they agreed to refund. Shockingly bad!!

   Absolutely shocking customer service – paid but still no correct item after over a month I went to a GO Outdoors store on 5 May and bought a few items. Two of them — the Berghaus Air 400 Footprint and a carpet — were out of stock and I was told they would be delivered to me later. On 8 May, I received a parcel — but it only contained the carpet, the footprint was missing. Since then, I’ve been in a long and frustrating back-and-forth with their customer service, which has been nothing short of a nightmare. I contacted them multiple times, filled in the missing parcel form, clearly told them which item was missing (the footprint), and they still sent me the wrong item — another carpet — again. I kept chasing them up, and every time they either ignored me or gave the wrong response. I sent them photo evidence, filled in everything they asked for, and requested a proper update and tracking number. No one replied. I followed up again on 10 June, only to receive an automatic reply saying that their email is no longer monitored and they won’t respond. So basically, I paid for an item, they failed to deliver it, sent me the wrong item, and now they’re ignoring me completely. I’ve wasted over a month, countless emails, and still haven’t received what I paid for. Honestly, I’ve never had an experience this bad with any other retailer in the UK. Extremely disappointed. I’ll be avoiding GO Outdoors from now on, and I’d recommend others do the same unless you’re happy to pay and get nothing.

   Great shop, plenty of great bargains. Staff are always really friendly and helpful without being pushy, bought a warm waterproof jacket recently that I'm really happy with, and today bought a pair of Northridge walking boot/trainers. A really nice chap called Ollie was there to assist me, I really appreciated his laid back helpful manner. But really nothing out of the ordinary for go outdoors, as their staff are always really cool I think. All in all a great shop, great discounts, well worth investing the £5 for a discount card. Well worth checking them out as they are only getting better and better.

   The staff in this shop are so kind and helpful. I was looking for walking boots today with my baby and they gave me good advice on trying on boots and then soothed my baby when she cried so that I could focus upon myself for a moment. I'm just sorry I have different sized feet and so was unable to find a pair that fitted. Thanks so much for calming down what would have been quite stressful for me.

   Decent gear, however the prominent prices ONLY apply if you have a £5 card card. It's a ploy trying to make you feel invested and return. I will shop elsewhere without the dual price special club nonsense.

   5 stars. I got all the things ( clothes, shoes…) in this shop for my coming camping with my family. An amazing price due to Black Friday period and the membership. I was served that day by Viv, she was very patient and nice, many thanks.

   Excellent selection, they have all the basics you need. Staff are helpful if you need to ask questions. Well worth getting the members card for the discounts and they are happy to add "Blue light" and "defence discount" on top of that making the prices hard to beat even with Amazon etc... Highly recommend.

   Lovely store. Layout is bit cramped downstairs that makes it difficult to social distance. Nice range of clothing to suit all budgets. Fitting rooms available. Click and collect located onsite upstairs. Bike and camping areas upstairs with a few tents on display. Don't forget to heck out then sale rail by the footwear section. Plenty of Parking outside that is free.
