We signed our son up to attend this Montessori when he was 2.5 years old. Although we had heard some negative feedback, we liked the space and initially had a positive impression. For the first few months, we were happy and saw some benefits in the environment and the teachers. We were proud for our son to be there. Unfortunately, things changed. One day, our son came home with a badly injured face. The manager handed him over to my husband without even noticing the injury. When questioned, she said she didn’t know what had happened but would try to find out. We followed up by email, but even after 12 months, we received no explanation or update. Another serious incident happened this year. I informed the deputy manager at drop-off that my son had been coughing all night, didn’t sleep well, and was very upset about coming in. That evening, we were told he had not been allowed into any classroom or with his friends for a couple of hours—simply because he didn’t say “Good morning.” During that time, he cried non-stop, and we belive he was also not given breakfast. When we raised this with the manager, her story conflicted with what we were told earlier. When we requested a statement from the deputy manager, yet another version of events was shared. There was no consistency, accountability, or real concern for our child’s wellbeing. Despite repeated emails and attempts to resolve the matter, we never once heard from the owner. When we asked that the incident be shared with other parents (so they could be aware and feel confident in the setting), the owner finally messaged us—only to say it would never happen again, but asked us not to tell anyone else. She also said she couldn’t share anything because it was “confidential.” We tried to move past it, but we continued hearing more disturbing stories from other parents. We eventually made the decision to withdraw our son from the setting. However, even then the manager made it extremely difficult. She threatened to keep charging us until January 2026, even though we had not signed any new agreement. We have been charged for weeks he did not attend, which we believe is completely unfair. This has been an incredibly disappointing and upsetting experience. We expected care, communication, and professionalism—especially when it involves the wellbeing of a child. Sadly, we did not receive that here from the managment. During parents' evening, I raised some of my concerns directly. However, instead of addressing them, the manager came into the room and told me to leave because my time was up. I found this extremely disrespectful and dismissive, especially given the seriousness of the issues I was trying to raise. I want to make it clear that we have always spoken very highly of the teachers. They are caring, hardworking, and clearly do everything they can for the children. Our concerns have always been with how management has handled serious issues—not the educators themselves.

I was very excited to enroll my daughter in this nursery. I love Montessori education, and it's very close to my home. We visited the nursery and asked if we could enroll her part-time. I don't like my two-year-old daughter to be out of the house for long hours, so I was looking for part-time. When I asked them part-time, they said yes. Then we completed the rest of the registration process. She said she couldn't give us all the information before paying the deposit. I paid it confidently because I thought it was a nursery that cared about its reputation and there would be no problems. But the surprise was that a few days before my daughter's start, they sent us a message stating that there were imposed hours that we had to pay. The amount was very expensive. When we discussed with her that I didn't want her to attend full-time, she said she couldn't or we would lose our money. We lost the deposit and the 15-hour grant. After that, I realized that there was a flaw in the management because things were not clear. I hope that before taking any step towards this nursery, you make sure of all matters before paying money. I wish I had read all the reviews before trusting this nursery.

We have nothing but kind words, thanks and respect for the team at The Bristol Montessori, they have been wonderful with our child who joined at 2 years old and has just left to start school reception year. Our child has blossomed with their love and support and it was no doubt the right place for them to attend. They have been helpful and understanding in every step of our parenting journey. Now that they have started school, our children's teachers comment on how well-rounded they are and how The Bristol Montesorri has clearly helped them develop skills for life and the confidence to be their own person. We even see this at home - our child already partakes in helping around the house, is comfortable getting themselves ready for the day and is comfortable knowing their feelings and communicating them. The team are all so kind and caring and really want the best for the children, no matter what gets thrown at them. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts x

My daughter loved going to The Bristol Montessori. She started Reception and teachers are saying she has been well prepared. We always have been worried about language barrier but teachers there helped a lot with her developing 2 languages at the same time. I can say only good words for Miss Anya. She has been really helpful and supportive. In my opinion kids are happy there and teachers have managed to create positive environment so kids can learn. We recommend The Bristol Montessori.

My son first started nursery at Bristol Montessori and when he left he didn't speak any English. The teachers were very attentive to everything and within 8 months he was understanding and able to communicate with most English speakers. He has also made tremendous progress in his socialization. Even though my son's nursery is over, he still wants to go there. I'm glad we sent it here. I definitely recommend it. Thank you so much for everything.

Well, what can I say?! A lot! The Bristol Montessori are honestly the most wonderful childcare setting you could ever wish for for your little one. Not only set in a beautiful building which is set up like a home from home but the teachers are second to none. The most carefully selected kind, gentle and knowledgeable bunch of humans who know the Montessori ethos inside and out. They all show love and kindness to your child and help each and every one settle in like a member of the family. The materials and subjects the children use and learn are much more advanced than traditional nursery settings and the diversity and multiculturalism children are taught is wonderful. It’s a sad day when your children finish their montessori journey with Miss Pegah and her amazing team x

Our son loves going to the Bristol Montessori. He even asks to go at the weekend. After lockdown in a house with two other children (both slightly older), the calm environment the school has to offer has really helped his development. The people who work there not only care for the kids but help to promote their individuality and independence. Despite having two older children, this has been our first experience of a Montessori school. We are really impressed and would certainly recommend anybody to visit and see how different the children behave with the freedom of choice and responsibility, even at such young ages.

After visiting lots of nurseries across Bristol I finally found a place I felt at ease leaving my two little ones. There are many things which drew me to The Bristol Montessori, the environment, which is welcoming, calm and full of fantastic resources and interesting things to explore! The teachers, who from the get-go demonstrated both their knowledge and enthusiasm, and the nurseries Montessori ethos. As a parent with two children attending the Bristol Montessori simultaneously, I have already noticed positives to them attending a setting which allows children of all ages to mix. My eldest has been practising empathy and acting as a support system to his little sister, a skill I hope he continues to harness. As well as my littlest learning from her brother and her elder peers, she is also recognising how she can support those younger than her. I love that the setting allows for such relationships to grow. I also love the independence I am already noticing flourish, from putting on their own shoes and socks, to laying tables ready for meals and helping to tidy things away. Importantly they are having so much fun whilst learning lots! I love hearing about their days in each of the different rooms, which they can explore as they wish and seeing pictures of them getting involved each week. The teachers are always happy to have a chat at pick up time about the day which is really important to me. My children always come out of the door at the end of the day with big smiles. A big plus point for me is the connection to the natural world the nursery encourages which is perfect for my little nature and animal lovers. The garden and forest school area is beautiful, and weekly forest school trips are also a bonus! I am super exited to continue to witness both of my children’s journeys at the Bristol Montessori and could not recommend it enough!

The Bristol Montessori provides a really fun and happy learning environment for nursery-aged children. Our son loved every moment he spent there and always spoke very fondly of the staff and other children. During his time at The Bristol Montessori he gained hugely in confidence, became more independent, learnt lots of new skills and concepts, and enjoyed socialising with children both younger and older than him. The school is bright and spacious and has lots of wonderful learning materials as well as a lovely garden with trees, flowers and a little allotment. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable, dedicated, caring and respectful and we are thankful to them for making our son’s time there so special. Thank you!

My little boy is almost 4 and has been attending this school for over a year now. When he first joined - he barely made connections with anyone and played mostly by himself. The difference between then and now is staggering. His speech improved tremendously, he is so very proud of the little things he is learning to do every day and he loves talking about anything and everything. He has built friendships with other children and is very enthusiastic about going to school in the morning. The facilities are fantastic - the school has hundreds of Montessori props and educational toys. The staff is friendly, caring and very consistent with daily routines which makes it so much easier to keep things organised at home. If you want your child to be independent, confident yet kind and respectful - I would thoroughly recommend this school. The way the Bristol Montessori helped my little boy is incredible. Thank you.
