The lunch deal is a good deal and it's a full meal without any extra order. The food was delicious and quick. The staff were friendly, too. The things I prefer them do it differently - you can't order 1 nan/extra, the price is for 2 so it's a bit too much - they put the tip included in the bill, with explanation in the end. In general, I like the food and the services

We haven’t had a decent Indian meal for a while and Tamatanga didn’t break the cycle. It’s Sunday evening, we can’t be bothered to cook and we can’t be bothered to get all dressed up either. We parked in the Highcross car park for £2.50 and decided to choose a restaurant from the many situated on shires lane. Don’t get me wrong, the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t excellent either. We had a sharing platter with some sides of Tame fries. There were tiny popadoms, a mini naan, a small rice and 5 little dishes of food and 2 smaller dishes of sauce. See pictures! The food was ok but this is not a sharing platter and we came home still hungry. The service was good and the price wasn’t bad. Including drinks and a tip, the bill was £38. But I could have made a better version at home for a fraction of the price and I’m not a chef! I guess you pay the £19 each for the privilege of not washing up and cooking it yourself lol. It’s a nice venue for a work do or a family night out, but nothing romantic!

Me and my partner came hrre for a quick lunch. Curry was nice. Food was tasty. I would definitely return. First time I came to Tamatanga. The menu was great. The toilet decor was unusual.

A great place to eat with many delious Indian dishes to choose from. I have never had a bad experience here. The two for one cocktail offers are also a good buy.

Wonderful Experience at Tamatanga I had a fantastic dinner at Tamatanga. The Paneer Makhni was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—perfectly balanced and comforting. The chilli cheese naan was a standout, with just the right kick and a delicious cheesy twist. I paired it with a gin and tonic, which was refreshing and complemented the meal beautifully. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the service was friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.

Had a reservation for quite a large number of people. One was late but they made us all wait outside and said they would charge us to sit down if we didn’t. That was a bit weird but apart from that service was really nice. The food came out quickly and was and was cooked well. Also nicely decorated and great for a birthday or other celebration

Overpriced average food with small portion sizes. Far better places to eat in this area. The decor was nice but felt very Mexican in my opinion. As it was Friday lunchtime it was quiet and I felt as though the staff we standing on my head throughout the duration of the meal! Disappointed

Nice restaurant for Indian food with a twist. Great ambience and wide variety of selections on the menu. The vegetarian options are very good. The wraps are loaded with paneer. The salads are tasty and filling. They have a nice selection of Bread as well. The overall portion size is quite good. The staff is friendly as helpful. Overall a very nice restaurant.

We’ve dined in many times with family. It’s kid friendly and they serve the most delicious Indian food. Really recommend the prawn nilgiri. Lunchtimes have a great £11 meal deal too.

Went here with friends visiting from outside Leicester. The ambience was great with little eclectic touches in the decor. Front of house wasn't very nice. I understand they were having a busy day but there's a fine line between being assertive and being rude. We felt he crossed the line to being rude. You are allowed only 1.5 hours for your dining experience. The girls who took the order were really nice and professional. The food was AMAZING!!! Very tasty and good to look at. Portion size was decent as well. The cocktails were really good as well and it was 2 for 1, so even better. Overall, the food made up for the rudeness of the front of house. Good value for money. I'll be happy to come back here again.
